After flying for about two and a half hours, the helicopter arrived at the destination city. Thankfully, there was a helipad not far from Father's villa. So I didn't have to travel any longer. A car was waiting, and Jasper let me in.

Fifteen minutes later, we arrived at the lakeside. I deliberately parked the car far enough away so that no one would notice our arrival. I didn't care about bothering Father, but his two guests were my guests, too. I had to be polite to them.

“Good afternoon, sir,” Nick greeted politely. “Master is waiting for you in the study.”

“That's odd,” I remarked. “Usually I have to do drama to get him to see me.”

“Master doesn't want his two guests disturbed,” he replied.

Understanding what he meant, I followed him to the study. The bedroom was upstairs. So, our conversation downstairs wouldn't be heard all the way upstairs. After all, the office was deliberately built to be soundproof so that conversations from inside wouldn't be heard outside.
