CHAPTER SEVENTEEN- TRAILERS

At some point in the morning, I heard some footsteps in the hallway and the bedroom door being opened slowly. The scent of musk and mint was there at once and a smile crept across my face. I remained lying with my back to the door and I no longer heard her silent steps. Probably not to wake me up.

I heard some light rubbing of clothes and I continued with my eyes closed. I should be taking them off. I felt the mattress beside me sinking and I shifted a little, turning onto my side. He sighed deeply as if he were tired. And I couldn't take it. I had to look at him. I could smell a little of his wolves on him and I wondered what verdict they had reached.

"Everything okay?" I asked and smoothed his bare chest under the coverlet. It wasn't as warm as I was used to, it must have been very cold outside. He looked at me and wrapped his arms around my body, squeezing me against him.

"Yes, you are." He kissed my cheek and then my lips.
