CHAPTER SIXTEEN - A BED

"What do you want?"

"It's cold and the firewood is over." I said. The honest truth. And the truth I most enjoyed saying.

"And you decided to sleep here." I nodded even though it wasn't a question. And I saw his hand tighten on the side of the door, “Come in.” He made room and waited for me to walk past him. When I did, he closed the door again, "Make yourself comfortable," He said simply and walked back to his bed. The temperature inside was already far more pleasant. I walked around the bed and climbed on the other side. James gave me a sideways look and pulled his blanket over him when I did the same. He turned to the other side and I wrapped myself in my blanket, moving closer to his back and placing his blanket over mine. "You're quite chilly, aren't you?" He grumbled.

"I hate the cold. And my resistance is much lower in the winter." I decided to lean my forehead against his back and ended up inhaling his delicious scent. My heart was still beating fast, but I was doing m
