Two days had passed since that morning. And meanwhile Kain had not shown his face even for a split second, Denise was stuck in his bedroom, unable to stop herself from pitying her own life.

Now that she thought of it, was he only happy when she fought and won? She noticed he smiled a bit when they spoke of fighting. For her last battle, she knew that she definitely won, but how exactly Raina did it was a mystery. Maybe her style was not up to his standard? He hadn’t come to tell her he was impressed. He hadn’t even come to check if she was okay either. And when she asked Kile for him, he always lied and said he’d bring him another day, but never did.

Until he came during her heat.

Could that be the reason he was angry? Because he couldn’t resist her heat?
