CHAPTER 135: TEXT MESSAGE

The loud sirens were still ringing in my head. I thought that the smoke had blinded my eyes, but when I saw Michael lying on the floor unconscious, I ran towards him.

Help arrived just a few minutes after the explosion at the restaurant, and Michael was rushed to the hospital along with many other people who were injured in the incident.

"Fuck," Michael groaned as he pushed himself up from lying in the hospital bed.

"Don't move too much," I chided him and helped him relax his back. "You've got a real huge bruise on your back, Michael."

"I can feel it," he groaned in pain.

His face showed how painful it was.

"Are you okay?" He inspected me. "Are you hurt?"

His frown deepened, showing his concern for me.

"What's this?" He asked about the scratch I had on the side of my eyebrow.

"Shouldn't I be the one to ask you that?" I replied.

"I'm fine," he enunciated, still enduring his back. "I got treated, what about you? You need to change your dress, it has dirt all over it. There's a h
