The Treehouse

 Nick took her hand and ushered her out of the building before her mother and sisters came over again. The last thing he wanted was a slanging match with the twins and their mother.

The car was waiting for them at the kerb, and they bundled Millie inside.

"So, what happens now?" She asked, getting comfortable between the pair of them.

"We go home, get in my car, and we stop halfway." Gabriel snuggled up against her, "We even have a picnic that we had packed up for us today so we can stop and eat on the way." He sounded very well happy thought, Millie, they had thought of everything.

"Oh, I love picnics," Millie said thinking of the one time that her sisters had been relatively pleased with her by organising an evening picnic for them and the men they saw at the time.
