7. Find a solution.

Ruby's POV

I close my eyes as I see his hand moving towards me. But when he doesn't touch me, I open them, only to realize that I am all alone in my room.

“Owen.” I call out, but he is nowhere to be seen. Did he just leave me when I wanted to be with him so badly? Maybe he went downstairs. I get off my bed, open my bedroom door and proceed downstairs calling his name every five seconds.

“Ruby is that you?” My mother's quivering voice calls out to me.

“Mom did you see Owen.” I ask, approaching the living room.

“My darling, it's really you.” Tears escape her eyes as she embraces me. “I thought I would never see you again, my dear. I thought that monster had taken you from me.” She adds.

“Where were you, Ruby?” Damien's concerned voice makes me realise that my living room is packed.

“Did that bastard Owen do anything to you?” Rowan asks, already by my side, checking my whole body. I am so glad to see them both, all I want is to be all alone with them, including Owen. I just can't ex
