Chapter One Hundred-Four

Roman asserts that he will be driving me back home even though I suggested he rests. He tells me to wait for him by the house entrance while he gets the car from the garage.

Just as he leaves, Damon drives pass in an Audi. I remember the car from the day Roman and he gave me a ride home after my car broke down at an abandoned gas station on my way back from the grocery store. I recall that that day was the first time Roman and I ever had a conversation where we weren't biting off each other's head.

"I can see you are in one piece" Damon comment. He smirks and adds, "And clothed"

I want to glare at him but I remember how he helped me delay Roman from unlocking the bedroom door, I owe him one.

"Thanks for helping me out earlier" i send him a knowing expression to convey what I'm referring to.

Damon winks, "Anything for my favorite cousin's girl" He grins before driving off.
