RIDER When I turn away from Halie, I rush to my cabin, heading for the shower. The spray of the water is harsh, a welcome glacier against the furnace of my body. I'm not myself today. Qinn's heavy breathing lapped at my hind legs as we pushed forward, the forest quiet, only interrupted by the flash of lightening every now and again. I'm over one hundred percent sure what we're about to do is the stupidest thing anyone could've ever done. But it's the only thing that would ever get Ammoy to just STOP talking.
