Lola breezed into the shop, the lingering scent of fresh cookies and books filling her senses making her mouth water. It made her feel warm and fuzzy. It was the smell she associated with Erik. “Erik, are you in?” She called out. The sign on the door had said he was closed. Lola knew he usually didn’t flip the sign to open until after lunch on Sundays.“In here.”Following the delicious aroma Lola walked into the kitchen, she paused when she saw him. Taking in the fact that he had pressed his slacks and he wore a button-up shirt. The sleeves folded up to his elbows, revealing surprisingly muscular arms. She was right, this tea was a date. She was glad she had dressed up and put on some lipstick and mascara. “Good morning, Lola.” He said, glancing up as he picked up the tea set, taking in her floral skirt and pink tank top. The light makeup she had on only added to her beauty. “I thought we could have tea on the back porch since it’s a lovely morning.”“I’ll get the door for you.”

“Yes.” Lola whispered.Erik leaned forward, his lips hovering over hers and she sucked in a breath, his scent filling her sense as she closed her eyes. Lola looked down at the address worrying, her lower lip. This was going to be a drive, and she wasn’t looking forward to it. Being trapped in such a small space with Merrow for that time had her nerves on edge.“Are you ready?” Merrow asked as he leaned against the door frame, his eyes drinking her in. Making her shiver at the thought of being alone with him.“Yeah, it looks like I’ll be driving. I think you’ll enjoy it though.” Lola said with a sigh as she leaned over, pulling out her cell phone to type in the address.“Why is that, ghra?” Merrow said as he bit his lower lip, crossing his arms over her chest to keep from going closer and touching her. “We’ll be going in a car and I’ve yet to meet a man that doesn’t love to ride in my jeep.” “I don’t know what that means, but I do look forward to spending time alone with you.” Merrow said, his voice husky as he watched the way her legs moved when she crossed them. Glancing up, Lola looked at him. His eyes glued to her bare legs.

“What is that?” Merrow asked as he walked closer. He looked from Lola back to the strange unmoving brightly colored object.“It’s my jeep.” Lola said pressing the button on the key fob making the lights flash as the doors unlocked. Merrow jump at the sound. “We are expected to ride in there?” Merrow asked as he glanced at Lola.“You can stay home if you’d like.” Lola bit her lip as she glanced up at him, “I could always ask Puca to come with me.”“Nay, he and I agreed already.”“What do you mean?” Lola asked as she opened the door and slid into the jeep.“Just that if the time comes to lay with you, I should take it.” Merrow said as he watched Lola start the massive beast that she called a jeep.“Good to know that I won’t be causing problems between the two of you.” She said before closing the door.
