I wasn't ready to hear what she just said. Zoya was working? For what? She was already rich enough. She would be the owner of her father's company soon. And even if she was working somewhere, why didn't she tell me? It was nothing to hide about.
I looked at Zoya. Her nervous eyes lingered on me and again dropped. Wasn't she being unreasonable? Definitely, she was. It pissed me off more.
"Anyway, let me know how it is", Mrs. Sharma passed us a smile and walked out of the apartment, slamming the door.
There was only silence between us for a few second. She didn't speak much, nor I did. I didn't know what to say. Should I ask her? But she'd backfire at me. However, I could ask since she hid that from me.
