Zoya
Abrar rushed to me and grabbed my hand. It was burning severely but that burn seemed to be nothing in front of the burn causing inside me. I stared at him when he panicked, scanning the burn.
"How did this happen?", he exclaimed and before he looked up at me, I hid the smile from my face. It was burning and I wanted to hiss but I felt so happy that moment when he left everything behind and rushed to me with just a single scream from me.
"I was trying to put the pot down", I hissed.
"You didn't need to. You could have waited. Come here", he dragged me to the water tap and turned it on, keeping my hand under it.
"Keep it like this. I'm bringing the ointment", he panicked as I shook my head.
Abrar left the kitchen when I heard Nikhat speaking.
"What happened? Is she okay?", she asked but I didn't hear Abrar replying to her.
He ignored everything for me.
I looked at my hand under the water. Never in my lif
#His_Billionaire_Wife#Chapter_54AbrarI chuckled but immediately paused, finding her gawking at me. I bit my lower lip."I was kidding", I explained but she avoided eye contact and looked at the ceiling. My eyes wandered on her hand again. The bracelet was glistening on her wrist just like a pearl. My lips widened into a smile. I noticed her wearing it from the day I gave it to her. She didn't even remove it for a second."Zoya", I called her. Her eyes were frozen on the ceiling."Don't be so serious. I don't understand when you get sarcastic and when you get serious", I blurted out as she looked at me.Our eyes met. She did not react instead she kept staring at me."You shouldn't remind me that I'm temporary to you", she said. "I know that"Her whispers gave chills down to my spine. I still couldn't understand why she got so disturbed whenever I joked about it. And I wasn't willing to make her temporary in my life. But
Abrar"What happened?", Zoya asked me, coming into the room while wiping her hair."Huh! Nothing. Nothing much", I looked up while tapping my phone to check if anything was wrong. I was noticing that my phone had been switching off recently. I found it off every morning. As I knew it was old enough, I could say I had to repair it."Why are you gazing at the phone like this?", Zoya asked again, walking towards me."I think my phone has some problem", I mumbled, turning it."What?", she frowned, coming close to me."Yeah. I find it switched off every morning. Maybe, it switches off every night", I told her."The battery might get dead", she rolled her eyes and then walked past me."Every day? That's really strange", I told her.I kept scanning it for a while."Now will you stop operating your phone right now? You can do it later. We need to leave for the office", she said."Yeah, I—""Ouch!", she
Abrar"So, you had a cut before?", the doctor asked Zoya, scanning her hand. She was too serious while talking. It had been a few minutes since we arrived in the clinic though Zoya wasn't willing to come here."Yes", Zoya mumbled in a low tone. The doctor was taking too much time to examine her wounds which was making me restless. Her cut didn't even heal properly and she ended up burning the same hand. I knew it could be serious someday."Then it burnt", the doctor asked. I told her the same things after coming here still she was inquiring the same things repeatedly."Yeah", Zoya said. The doctor took her kit out and started applying a spray."Ahh", Zoya hissed, leaning back to me. I hardly saw her hissing but the burn must have increased after that spray."Allah! No! I don't wanna apply it. It burns like hell!", she almost yelped, dragging herself back to me."Your wounds need to get treated, Zoya. Please give me your
Zoya "From how many people are you gonna save him, Ma'am", Sahani let out a sigh, hanging his head in front of my table. I was looking out of the window, standing in abbu's cabin. I was yet to have my own cabin in this office and I was hoping to get it as soon as possible. Abbu had made an unusual clause in his will that I wouldn't get anything from his property until I turned 30. I didn't know what made him do so. What was he thinking while making such a decision? However, I was never concerned about it. But it also surprised me when he suddenly thought of changing his decision and handing over everything to me right now. Not everything! But the company is a part of his vast shares. I was glad that he still had some shares with him. It was not good for parents to give away everything and especially when the daughter was like me. I hated myself. I didn't know the reason but I hated myself from the core of my heart. According to me,
"You're right. Clouds!", I said, changing my tone to say the same words again. It was so strange that how the meaning changed, but the words remained the same.An awkward silence occurred between us and I tried to break it."By the way, leave all this. What made you come to my cabin?", I sat on my chair and indicated him to take his seat.He sat in front of me."Nothing. I was just here to check on you and—", he pulled out a pack from his pocket and put it on the table. "Your medicines. Make sure to take it after the lunch"I looked at the medicines for a while."Don't you know that we're having lunch together today?", I said as he frowned."No, when did we make this plan?", he rolled his eyes."Do you plan anything before having your lunch with Nikhat?", I asked him straight and immediately regret at the words I just spoke. He gawked at me in disbelief."Nikhat? Zoya, you—", he mumbled as I immediately crack
ZoyaI walked out of the cabin, locking my hand with Abrar's arm. I saw abbu coming inside with Mr. Kaiser and his son following him. My eyes went straight on to Irtaza who was already looking at me, his eyes reactionless. That was what he looked like always.I didn't bother to notice his appearance and walked towards the crowd."It's been so long since you visit the office, Kaiser. I miss our partnership so much", abbu said to his loving friend."We're still partners. Aren't we?", Kaiser laughed and immediately started coughing since his old throat couldn't bear the laughter either."Yeah", abbu rubbed his back with a smile. "But we haven't worked together for a long time""We needed time, Uncle Ali", Irtaza finally spoke after he was done gazing at me. I was glad that he didn't take a glance at Abrar for once. "We needed time to overcome the bitterness"He didn't look at me but I knew he wanted to spit those words on m
Abrar"May I come in?", there was a knock at the door with Zoya's chirping voice. I was focused on the computer and didn't look up at her."From when did you need permission to come into my cabin?", I husked and heard her footsteps towards me."From today, I think", she came to my table and placed her palms on the table, leaning over me. "You're ignoring me?", her voice was filled with surprise."Huh! No. Why would I? I'm just working", I said, without lifting my head. I didn't want to involve in a conversation with her this time when there could be a chance of an argument."Then why aren't you looking at me?", she shrugged."Zoya, please", I gasped when she abruptly turned off my laptop as I shot her an immediate glare."What the hell!", I scoffed, finding her gazing at me with her furious eyes."If I'm in front of you, your attention should be on me. Only on me, Mr. Abrar Zafar. This is the last time I'm telling
ZoyaHow dare he? How could he just behave like that to me? How?My head was pounding from the moment I came out of Abrar's cabin. His damn attitude pissed me off.I, the Zoya Ali, who never pleaded or requested to anyone, who never cared what people thought about me, who never explained to anyone literally requested to him. And what the heck had he done with me? Showed his stupid attitude!I grabbed the vase from the desk and clutched it tight, closing my eyes to absorb whatever he said to me.We had nothing between us!Wow!That was another gift from Mr. Abrar Zafar to me. He made it clear that he was still sticking to his ex. And I was nothing to him. I let out deep sighs before opening my eyes again. My nerves stopped shaking, my heartbeats went normal as I felt immense sadness filling inside me more than anger."Liar!" I gritted my teeth and looked aside at the curtain, he was on the opposite side. "Such a liar you are!"
