Starting to open up

Spencer's POV

We were halfway to the sea so I decided to take a break while sipping the wine in my goblet. I looked at the silent image of River sitting on the side. She's really beautiful in any angle, so it's impossible not to like her. He captured someone like me who is hard to love because of my past relationship, how about other men?

"F*ck!" I cussed in my mind.

"You look angry."

I turned around at River's sudden comment so my fisted palm suddenly calmed down.

"Eh, why did your fist suddenly stiffen? What's on your mind?"

I was slightly shocked by what River said to me. I didn't think she could ask me this. But I didn't feel annoyed or angry at her straightforward question. Perhaps for me it's better for her to be honest with me than to just keep quiet on the side.
