To her defence

I puffed out air abruptly feeling frazzled, but I did a good job composing myself. I traipse forward, dragged the chair backwards, and sat on it. I handed over my credentials to him without reluctance when he asked for them while he watched my movement like he was tracking down another way to slur me.

I did not give him the prospect as I kept an emotionless face combined with a grim smile trying not to convey a rude self.

I noticed a smirk plastered on his face from the side of my eye. It made my heart swell in anger. I dislike the way he makes me feel like he knows what is going through my mind. I have no reason to be mad at him but I felt entitled to that emotion after he ditched me all alone in that huge house. Maybe I was overreacting.

I adjusted the waistband of my skirt even though it was unwarranted. I was becoming nervous with the way he was taking a long time to ask questions.
