Ch 12: What really happened?

“Tara Anderson!!!”

Christopher bellowed uncontrollably. He couldn’t believe that the sweet young lady who was all over Selene, showering her with so much love and attention could say this about her. They both adored each other, and he needed no soothsayer to tell him that.

“What could have changed so much within a few hours?” Christopher pondered.

When Selene’s mother abandoned her on Christopher Davies, she was only a week old. Her mother never bothered about how she was cared for, and it took her a decade to ask about her daughter for the first time. At Christopher’s lowest point, Tara was there for him, caring for Selene as though she was her own child. As a result, everything she said right now couldn’t confuse him any more than it already had.

“Tara, I never told you this, but her mother reached out when Selene was ten. She wanted to get to know her daughter and bond with her. Do you know what little Selene told me when I asked for her opinion?” Christopher asked in a calm
