"Really, What a coincidence." Owen's innocent smile would never make one suspect him. "Would you like to sit with us then? I really love your company." He asked with such clear eyes and a beautiful smile that Sophia found herself nodding.
"Great!" Owen grinned before walking away."Oh my God! What just happened?" Skyler asked her eyes widely opened. Unfortunately, she does not have a Biology class with Sophia."I don't know." Sophia whispered as she bit her lower lips. This morning when she woke up, she planned to be as invincible as the word can get, but here she is, getting attracted to a boy who is a part of the school most popular group. Not only is her heart and body acting weird, but she is also even agreeing to sit with them in a class! 'What a mess.' She regretted her head which had moved without letting her brain process and think of all the cons involved with her sitting with them."I know I said I am rooting for you to be the first girl in their click, but girl, I like you alright. I really wouldn't want to see you get hurt." Skylar looked around as she went closer, "Take a look at them. They are all so surreal, like a painting brought to life. And some of the ladies too, you must have noticed right, those girls who sat all through lunch glaring at you looks like the perfect fit for them. Don't get me wrong Sophia, you are perfect, God you even look like you should be seated with them and not me! God knows if I were to swing this way, I would be looking for ways to eat you out until the whole school hears you screaming my name." Sophia found it weird that she blushed hard. No one has ever been so blunt with her. She wondered if she was meant to say thank you or not. "I guess what I am trying to say is, it is okay to like them, to crush on them. The whole school does, what wouldn't be okay if for you to let yourself be vulnerable, to let yourself go. And I know it might end up like one of those cheesy high school happily ever after romance stories or you end up losing yourself. This is high school, don't let your memories of it be dark ones okay." For the first time since they met this morning, Sophia took the first initiative of hugging her."How are you so filled with surprises?" Sophia asked as Skylar tightened her hold on Sophia."I know right, I am just too unique." Skylar chuckled before pulling away. "You smell great and all, but if I do not rush now, I will be late for class. Now get your cute ass going too." Skylar winked as she ran toward her lecture room.Sophia smiled before turning in the opposite direction for her class too.As soon as she left, a shadow came out of hiding and watched her with gloomy eyes."Hi, I was just thinking of going to find you." Owen had waved at Sophia as soon as she went into the class. She had to walk toward where they were all seated."Sorry, I had something to do." She blinked noticing the position of the sit kept for her. She was meant to sit in between Owen and the guy whom she has been unable to rid herself from thinking about.Sophia's POV"Where are my manners? Sophia, meet Wyatt, Caius, and Alexios." Wyatt is the blonde curled haired guy who had asked me a question. Caius is the brown haired one, and Alexios. 'Even his name sound so good.'"Guys Sophia." Owen smiled showing his cute dimples. A feature of him that I found myself admiring. I just wished he kept on smiling."Nice you meet you Sophia." Wyatt and Caius spoke smiling at me."It is a great pleasure to meet you Sophia." The way his eyes stayed on mine, his tone, everything about him made me feel like there was something else, another meaning in his words. I stared back at him, his green eyes pulling me in, I felt vulnerable in his gaze. It was as though he could read my every thoughts and can see what is hidden under my skin.Blinking, I hastily looked away. 'What is wrong with me?' I questioned myself as I fought the urge to look at him again. What would they think of me?"Nice to meet you all." I remembered I hadn't responded to them so I did, although my eyes were forcefully made to stay on Wyatt and Caius. They were all so good looking, they all had their unique charms but why am I so attracted to the green eyed boy whose eyes had remained on me?Biology class was torturously slow, I could feel his eyes on me all through the class and all I wanted was to just escape. The feeling was too overwhelming. I would normally feel disgust and uncomfortable when I am been stared at so openly and without shame, hence why I wear a hoodie and try to stay out of people's sight. But with him, I felt different, sort of empowered. I loved the fact that he wasn't ashamed to stare at me, that his gaze hadn't left me, I loved him looking at me."So what class do you have next?" Owen asked as he grinned at me.I took out my lecture timetable to check and he took it from me."What are the odds?" He asked chuckling, "We have all classes together." Grinning he returned the piece of paper to me."What?" How can that be? Skylar said they all take classes together, so if I have the same classes with Owen, doesn't that mean I have the same classes with him?!No...no...no... I cannot. If I keep taking classes with him, I will just fail!"Hey, are you okay? You look like you just saw a ghost." Owen waved his hands in my front."You mean we have same classes all week?" I asked and he nodded."Yes, we do. Do not tell me you don't want to attend classes together with me. I am hurt." Owen made an exaggerated look.Am I going to fail my final year? I cannot concentrate when I have same classes as he does. And true to my fears, all the remaining classes were just like Biology. Unable to escape sitting with them, I had to sit through it."Should we drop you off?" Owen asked."No, thanks. I will be fine." I refuse to be in the same space as him any longer than this. Nodding they all walked away towards a car."Sophia." I had the familiar voice call me. Waving at her, Skylar walked over to me."You were with them." She nodded in their direction and I sighed."I have same classes as them." I told her. The coincidence was baffling."Hold on, you mean the same subject and same period?" She asked with an open mouth."That's insane." I nodded in agreement. I cannot believe just how lucky I am."They definitely hate you now." I looked in the direction she was watching and saw those girls from earlier glaring hatefully at me.Sighing, "This will be one fun year." I just cannot believe how ridiculous my day had turned out to be."Oh, how I love you and your sarcasm. My mom is here now, should we drop you or do you have a ride home?" Skylar asked."My mom should be here anytime now." Nodding, she hugged me and whispered, "Stay alive when I am gone. Don't let them kill you with their eyes okay." I chuckled and nodded.I doubt they will kill me and leave so much evidence.Luckily I didn't need to wait for long before Mom's car pulled in. "How was your day today honey?" Mom asked as I got into the car."Exciting." She frowned as she glanced my way."Is everything okay? Were you bullied at school?" I laughed as I didn't understand how and why she will translate my response into being bullied."No Mom, I wasn't bullied. I made a friend actually or maybe two friends. Skylar and Owen." I would have told her about Wyatt, Caius, and Alexios, but I didn't have much interaction with them. And I didn't think it right to refer to Alexios as a friend."That's strange. But I like it. You should have introduced them to me." Mom pouted."I met them today mom, don't you think making an introduction would be a bit too much? And besides they left already." I told her before settling into the car and closing my eyes to take a nap except I was hunted by a pair of green eyes. The thought of him swallowed me whole.Alexis POV "Hi dad." When he had summoned me to his office, I had an idea of what he might be curious about."How was school today?" I nodded as I fought the urge to smile. The thought of my mate being in the same school as me had me smiling all day. She unfortunately can not feel the bond between us, or maybe she felt it can and she just couldn't understand what it was. "Fine, but kinda frustrating." I confessed. It was a torturous and frustrating day, having watched Owen achieve becoming her friend had me jealous. I should have been the one getting close to her. But then, I feared I might not be able to control Erskine so this had me holding back from wanting to be too close. The enticing scent coming off from her had me drunk, I wanted nothing but to put my nose in her body and sniff her in. "Frustrating? Never thought you knew that word son." Dad teased as he stared at me. It was obvious he was concerned."Why am I here?" I asked."What is your opinion of the human girl? Do you
"You are sure nothing is going on in there that you want to talk to me about?" Dad asked again as he glanced towards the school.Chuckling, "Nothing dad, I promise." It is just I panicking because my heart wants to reach out to another, it is no big deal."Alright then dynamite, you go have an amazing day okay." "Okay." I waved before entering the school gate. Today might end up being an awkward one for me. Dad had called the school over the weekend to ask them to change my class schedule as the schedule was too stressful for me to keep up. I am going to pick my new schedule today and this change might not go well with Owen and the others.I scanned the crowd for Skylar's red hair but couldn't find her. 'Is she late today or did she come early?' We normally would meet here every day. Shrugging, I walked into the building and went towards her locker area."... bitch!" I watched as Vivian, one of the ladies who would always glare at me poke Skylar causing her to stagger back. Just ho
Sophia's POV "Sophia hi." Owen greeted us as he joined us at our desk for lunch. "Skylar." Skylar waved at him acknowledging his presence. "Hi Owen." I smiled awkwardly. Earlier when I had a class with them, I had purposely forced myself to not look toward their way as I found myself a new place to sit. "I really want to be upset with you right now, but I can't even bring myself to do that." Owen complained. "I am sorry." I apologized. I know I probably owed them an explanation but I can't even think of a good excuse to tell them. I can't possibly tell him I left because of my unusual crush on his friend.I spent the whole weekend researching and googling about my symptoms, I find it weird to call my feelings love since it had occurred from the very first time I laid eyes on him. "Did we do anything wrong?" Owen asked and I shook my head. They were all kind to me. "Then why did you request for a change in your timetable? If it wasn't us, was it anyone in those classes that made yo
Sophia's POV "So, do you want to hang out with us this weekend?" Owen asked and I shrugged nodding. It won't hurt to meet them outside of school and get to know them better."This weekend? What day are you thinking?" Skylar asked."Tomorrow will be the best, that way we can do our homework and prepare for school on Sunday," Owen replied. Indeed, Saturday will be the best time to just have fun."I can't make it then. My aunt gave birth and I promised to visit her tomorrow." She looked apologetic. 'I guess I will be the only girl there then.' The thought sort of frightened me but at the same time, it was exciting. Being the only female in their midst, they will most likely treat me like a princess. It won't hurt to be spoiled a bit."We won't miss you." Owen told her chuckling. "Oh shut up." Skylar glared at him."What time tomorrow are you thinking?" I asked and he shrugged."I will text you the time and location." I nodded as I tried to calm my giddy heart. Although the other boys
Sophia's POV "Mom, where is dad?" It is the weekend already, and he normally likes waking up early to help with some of the chores around the house. Not seeing him now is a bit strange."He went to the mechanic. His car needs fixing." I nodded before going to help her knead the flour. "So, are you excited for your date today?" Mom questioned and I shrugged. She might have said it is okay to feel what I am feeling, but it still is a bit strange to talk to my mom about liking a boy. "Do you feel unsure of whether you want to go?" She asked again, her voice laced with concern."No mom, I am certain I want to go." I quickly answered before she got the wrong idea."You are excited then." She chuckled as she pulled out the turkey from the oven."I guess." I murmured but I am certain she heard me."Do you now know where you will be meeting them and what time?" I nodded. Owen sent the details last night."I will be meeting them at a bookshop close to school, I should be leaving in an hour or
Sophia's POV He grinned!!! "Come with me. Just trust me alright." That alluring tone of his had me wanting to nod and follow him into the pit of hell. Blinking away the unholy thoughts trying to invade my head, I slowly walked behind him until we got to his car. I hadn't expected him to hold the door open for me."Thank you." Never has anyone, well except my dad of course, held a car door open for me, and him doing this had me blushing. A blush I hope he doesn't notice."Do you like games?" The question was unexpected but I still nodded."You sure like to nod Sophia. Words please." I couldn't be sure whether he was being humored or he is being serious. All I know was I loved the way he called my name. "Yes, I like games." He smiled glancing in my direction. My heart skipped. 'What is he doing to me?' "There is this game center I know of, you can play any type of game you want. Cards, blocks, pinball, video games. My favorite is the arcade games. Do you know how to play?" I chuckle
Sophia's POV "Yes, Yes I will be your girlfriend Alexios Magnus Chester." Saying this felt unreal. I am his girlfriend!!! The guy I like likes me back and he wants to date me!"Oh my God! I can kiss you though right?" I blushed hearing his question. I know I said no sex, but I doubt I would survive if he doesn't kiss me either. His lips have to be one of his best features and I am curious to know what kissing him might feel like. Will it be like in the stories I read, I already feel like there are butterflies in my stomach just from having him look at me. "Just not in public places." I told him. I don't want people to see us doing something so intimate."Too cute." He grinned pinching my cheeks. "So we are dating." I felt like he might start laughing and call it a prank, a joke. But his expression, the sincerity in those eyes could not have been a lie. "Yes Sophia. We are exclusively dating." I grinned at him. "So shall we go bowling now." 'I just have to open my mouth didn't I?'
Sophia's POV "Is there anything I should take note of? Your allergy? What might piss you off? Anything?" Seeing his expression, I swallowed wondering if my question has been too direct. Since he already explained the reason for his earlier act, I should have probably not asked."I have no allergies, you can never do wrong in my eyes Sophia. I hate being deceived or being betrayed. But aside from this, I doubt there is anything else." I nodded taking a sip from my drink. I have so many things I am curious about, but I held myself back from asking more questions, I don't want him thinking I am looking for problems where there is none. Now that he is my boyfriend...Referring to him as such is still weird and leaves a tingling feeling inside of me."Should we still go bowling?" He asked and I shook my head. The time had gone so fast, I should head back home before dad lose his mind."It is almost 2 pm. I think I should go home." He nodded glaring at his wrist."Time truly flies when you
