Millie's POV

When I heard the car been driven off, I had looked out the window thinking if I should call them and demand she returns back.

"Where do you think they are heading to this late?" Erica, Skylar's mom who had insisted on sleeping in the room together with me asked and I sighed.

"To seek comfort." It had been shocking to not see Alexios throughout the day, but I had held myself back from asking as I feared it might only hurt my daughter even more.

"Then we should go back to sleep. They should be fine." I nodded. Erica and her husband had told me the whole town was packed with security walking around making sure there were no threats to anyone.

'She will be fine' I assured myself as I took a deep breath and followed Erica to sit on the bed. I know I wouldn't be sleeping at least not until they return home.

Looking at the room I once shared with my husband, all the fond memories we made in this room together had me in tears. I sat quietly at his favorite chair and cried, cried
