Lexie’s POV

“Mr. Conner let me show you to your table.” One of the attendants said to Chase and I wondered how they knew who he was with the mask on. Chase tightened his hold on me as we entered the massive ballroom as eyes wandered our way and I felt like everyone was staring at us as we made our way to the front of the room next to the stage.

Once we got to our table Chase pulled my chair out for me and I sat down. He quickly sat down next to me and placed his hand on mine. Honestly, I was glad that he was being possessive of me at this moment because there were a lot of eyes on me now and I wondered if it was because I was with Chase.

Both Chase and Tyler seemed to have made a name for themselves in this city and I noticed the respect they receive from others. It was almost as if they were worshiped by the other businessmen in this city. Which was crazy because they were so young to be doing so well for themselves.

I began looking around the room trying to see if I could fi
