It's Because You Want It.

"$10 million!" Ramsey shouted, raising his number tag.

Deafening silence clouded the hall. It was silent enough for the sound of a fallen needle to be heard. The guests fixed their eyes on us, surprised but my husband's face was as calm as a dove.

Sheepishly, my head dropped because I couldn't withstand the effect of the piercing eyes on my body.

"The bid for the necklace will close at one, two, and three," The man shouted, ringing the bell.

"Why did you do that? That was a lot of money," It came out from me in a breathy whisper.

Indifferently, he stared at me and retracted his gaze after some seconds, picked up the glass of wine on the table, and sipped it, "You love it!" He answered in a simple manner without looking at my face.

I was stupefied. It was too much. I couldn't believe he spent that amount of money on that necklace just because I loved it.

After an hour and a half, the auction ended and people were asked to merry until they were ready to leave.
