Chapter Sixteen

"You're repulsive."

“Lucky me.”

"You're crazy."

"I'm just getting started, Miss Rose." Ronald and I are now face-to-face as she exits the building in tears and resignation. No one is in our way today.

"How are you able to address her in this way? There is nothing standing between us. He challenged the next button while keeping a close eye on me. God, he's so hot. Stop looking at his chest, and stop now.

Wow, really? Nothing is present. Shaking my head, I exit the office while exhaling heavily. I'm falling hard for him because he's so charming.

Our subsequent encounters began and ended with hardly any conversation. He has suddenly become quite busy at work. Though our lunch break has ended, he is still at work. He occasionally orders food on his own, which I then give him when it arrives, but today no one brought food. So I reasoned, why not ask him if he has time? If not, I can place an order, but the door opens, and there he is.
