“Welcome to the 151th annual werewolf meeting Ms. Rockwood.” The girl at the reception said curtly in a professional tone. The badge on her chest says Aubrey. She continued typing away at the screen in front of her not bothering to look at us.
“Where is Mia?” I asked, Mia was the girl I met last year on her position. Although it wasn’t my business, I was curious what happened to her. she finally stopped typing and looked up to meet my gaze. She must be of my age or a year younger but her eyes were dead of emotions, they were old as if they have seen so much already before her age.
“Mia is my senior; she was promoted last year shortly after the last year’s meeting.” She said and don’t know why her words seems to be more of crammed up to me. She looked passed me and not wasting another second, she handed me digital key of my room.
