As Gerald drives home, his mind is a whirlwind of emotions and thoughts. He replays the conversation with Eunice and his encounter with Mildred over and over in his head, trying to make sense of everything.

Arriving home, he finds Victoria in the living room, engrossed in her phone. She looks up as he enters, a smile lighting up her face. "Hi, Gerald. How was your day?" she asks, her voice warm.

Gerald forces a smile, trying to mask the turmoil churning inside him. "It was fine," he replies, his tone strained.

Victoria frowns, sensing something amiss in his demeanor. "Is everything okay?" she questions, her concern evident. Eunice had just chatted her about their lunch, this was not the mood she was expecting.
