28 - Council of wolves

When I opened my eyes the next day, I was feeling so much lighter than I had ever felt in years of my life. I just wish I could stay in Jaden's arms all day and curl up in them.

But he wasn't next to me and the cold bed showed that he had left a long time ago. However, the growing feeling in my chest that hit me a few seconds later showed his distress.

I threw the blanket aside and trotted to the bedroom bathroom. I still hadn't showered since yesterday, after Jaden and I got excited about the idea of a baby growing in my belly. We lay in bed and spent the next few hours after the incident just cuddling the little unnoticeable thing in my uterus.

When I finish and leave the room, I find Damon and Jaden sitting at the breakfast table talking about something that seems really serious. I sigh, walking towards them.

As soon as I get closer, I kiss Jaden and greet Damon, sitting comfortably next to my fiancé. “I can feel his anguish.”
