CHAPTER 36: The Big Banquet

I took a deep breath to calm my self, a lot of thoughts were running in my head while we were walking towards the venue. When I saw parents waiting for us outside the venue, I felt like a wave of calmness gush over me.

From the way my parents looked me with admiration, I could say they were mesmerised by the way I had dressed and was surprised to see me in the outfit I had worn but soon enough the calmness I felt moments ago disappeared and I was consumed with guilt, as it hit me how on earth was I supposed to explain everything to them, what if I had to encounter him again in front of my parents, what explanation would I give them. All those thoughts overpowered my reasoning and a surge of panic arosed in my gut making me feel choked.
