I let out a groan as I opened my eyes. The room was dimly lit, which I was thankful for. I looked at the wall, and it was plain white. I knew it wasn’t the room that I was being held in, but I had no idea where this room was. I could smell disinfectant and hear several different beeping sounds. I looked around and realized I was in the hospital. I immediately tried to get up but almost screamed as pain ripped through my stomach. I placed a hand on my stomach to find it soft and flat. I started to freak out when I didn’t feel my hard baby belly anymore. “Calm down, little sprite. Everything is fine.” Kaden says. I look to where his voice came from to see him standing there. His hand is on my arm, making me stay in bed. I look at him, and I can feel the tears in my eyes. I remember hearing several voices, and then the pain started. Shit, I went into labor at that damn house. I also remember seeing blood before I passed out. “Did I lose…” I start to say. “Hush, our litt
Six months later “Are you laughing at me?” Kaden asks. “Yes, I am. I am sorry but it was funny.” I tell him. Kaden is a wonderful father to Colton. Colton loves being with his father. I am glad they have such a fantastic relationship, even if Colton is only six months. I can’t help but laugh at the two of them. Kaden was changing Colton’s diaper, and Colton just peed on his father. I was told stories about incidents like this happening, and luckily this is the first time that this has happened to Kaden. I walk over and take Colton from Kaden so he can get cleaned up. I laugh some more when Kaden pouts as he walks to our room. I am in love with our house. When Kaden showed me Colton’s nursery, I cried. I couldn’t believe he had done that for me. The nursery was set up perfectly, and I didn’t change a thing about it. I was surprised to see the glider there, but I love that. That is where I sit when I feed Colton. I love this little man so much. I am surprised that he
One Year Later I had no idea that a toddler could move that fast. I am chasing Colton around the backyard. This little guy is quick. He is a year and a half now and growing like a weed. Everly and I got married six months ago, and everything has been great. Leaving him when we went on our honeymoon was hard, but I know he had a blast with his grandparents. He was thrilled when he got a set of golf clubs for Christmas. Dad and Aaron took him golfing when we were on our honeymoon; now, Colton is obsessed with it. He will actually sit there for hours and watch tournaments on tv. I will probably get him some golf lessons in a couple of years. He also loves hockey. That is thanks to Drew. Justin and Tristian. Those three are hockey fanatics and have taken Colton to several games. I laugh when I see Tianya and Kylynn walking over to where we are. They were suspossed to have started their next tour five months ago, but things happened. They had some issues with the recordings
I push myself away from my desk and stand up. I walked away from my chair and to the large window of my office. I stand there looking out of it, hoping I might finally see her. I know that is impossible mainly because my office is on the top floor of the building, which happens to be 25 stories straight up. That night keeps replaying in my mind over and over. A smile graces my face when I think of my shy sexy little red-haired sprite. Again my mind drifts back to that night. __FLASHBACK__ Brent, Alek, Lance, and I had just entered the club. Alek and Lance own it, so we often come here to relax and burn off steam. I look around, seeing many of the same faces, but then my eyes land on her. She is sitting there with another girl with black hair and a guy with dark green hair and a lip ring. They are laughing amongst themselves. I can’t take my eyes off her. The black-haired girl pulls her up, and a smile tugs on my lips. The little redhead that has caught my attention is ti
The room was quiet for I don’t know how long. All I could do was stare, and I was not sure who I was staring at more. Everly my shy sexy little redhead or the two biggest fucking rockstars to date. These two women had come out of nowhere and literally taken over the music industry. Their guitar skills are different from anyone else's, and their voices are beyond amazing. Not to mention they are ridiculously gorgeous. Everyone wants to work with them. They are not my type since I have a thing for redheads but having them stand before me has me seeing them in a way that I never thought I would. They are both three or four inches taller than Everly, making them around 5’4”. Both have matching dark emerald green eyes with hazel sprinkled in them. Their long natural silvery platinum blonde hair has thick chunks of colour flowing throughout it—multiple shades of blue for Kylynn and multiple shades of purple for Tianya. If I didn't know they were cousins, I would swear they were sis
I had been feeling like shit for the last week. The nausea was awful, but the vomiting just started this morning. I had been talking with Malissa from HR, who was six months pregnant. She told me how terrible her morning sickness was during the first two or three months of her pregnancy, and that’s when it clicked in my head. I went home that night and read up on pregnancy, and I knew then that I needed to grab a test at some point. Now I sit with my back against the mirror on the vanity in my bathroom. I am staring at all eight positive pregnancy tests. Do I regret that night? Absolutely not. Kaden made that night perfect, even if he was drunk and doesn't remember it. I will never forget it, and now I will be reminded of it. “Everly where are you?” Kylynn asks. Of course, they would come over. They had asked earlier if I wanted to go to lunch with them, but as soon as I heard any discussion about food, my stomach basically told me to fuck off, and I had to tell them th
It’s only Wednesday, and I am already anxious. I still had two days until my date with Everly. I was surprised when she agreed to go to dinner with me. She returned to work Monday, so I sent her a get-well basket. I was in a meeting when she texted me, letting me know she got it. I am sure everyone thought I had lost my mind when I started smiling like an idiot during the meeting. Alek raised his eyebrow at me and shot me a smirk. That asshole can’t say anything. I know he has been texting Tianya like crazy, and I am positive something is happening between them. The fact that she showed up here yesterday is beside the point. She said they were meeting about something, but I knew that was bullshit but just shook my head and returned to my office. I know Brent has been texting Kylynn, but I am unsure what is happening with them. “What has you laughing like a dying hyena?” I ask. “Fuck off, we ran into Heath and Brad while we were getting lunch. Brent told them about our
I look at myself in the mirror one last time. I am beyond nervous as I grab my wallet and phone. I haven’t been this nervous since I was in high school. Ironically it had to do with Kylynn or Tianya at the time. I had seen a picture of the two of them that one of my friends had on his phone. How he got it and where he took it, I still don’t know, but I thought they were both beautiful. This was before the rock star thing and their dyed hair, tattoos, and body piercings. I had planned on finding them and asking both of them out. I figured that one of them would at least say yes. If Alek or Brent knew about this, they would laugh at or hit me; I'm not sure which reaction I would get. I have no reason to be nervous, yet I am. I unlock my car and slide into the driver's seat. I click the button, shut the garage, and drive toward the address Everly sent me earlier today. I am fully aware that I have my work cut out for me when it comes to her, but I don’t care. Something about
