Chapter 14: Ivy

The confusion I'm feeling must be written all over my face because in the next breath he says, "This is going to happen between us, Ivy."

Almost frantically, I shake my head. "No."

Slowly quirking a brow, he grins down at me. "You didn't enjoy that, sweetheart?" Before I can even formulate an answer, he continues, his voice all low and sexy. The cadence of it strums something deep inside me. "Because I'm kind of thinking you did." He lays a gentle kiss at the corner of my lips before whispering, "You were moaning into my mouth, practically begging me for more."
