Chapter 54: Ivy

One side of his mouth hitches before his lips slide across mine. It only takes a moment before I'm opening under the gentle pressure. His tongue mingles with mine before he pulls away.

"I love you, too." His grin is so wide that he's practically beaming. "You beat me to it. I've been wanting to tell you for a while now."

I can't help but return the expression. "Me, too."

He shoves the books from his bed. They crash on to the floor before Roan sinks to the mattress, pulling me down on top of him. His hands wrap around my waist as if to anchor me in place.

He stares up at me with love shining brightly from his eyes. "I know we haven't been together long, but you mean more to me than anyone else ever has."

I lower my face until I can stroke my lips over his. "I feel the same."

"Are you going to spend the night?" He raises a brow. "Queen-sized bed."
