Chapter 5.

“What…what did you just call me?” Mitzie gulped. “I know I believe I’m dreaming, but I’ve never had a dream about my twin sister that died in my mother’s womb.”

Etheria gave a slight chuckle “that’s because, as hard as it may be for you to believe, this isn’t a dream, and I didn’t die.”

Mitzie thought she would faint from the information. I mean, dreams shouldn’t cause this kind of effect on someone, as far as she knew, right?

Yet, something about Etheria made Mitzie want to believe what was being said to her. And something about Etheria, resembled Mitzie’s features. This couldn’t be possible. There was absolutely no way this wasn’t a dream!

Just as Mitzie was about to speak, she felt a strong kick from her baby. The kick could be seen by Etheria. Her stomach also seemed to go from being 5 months pregnant to where she looked almost 8 months pregnant.

“May I?” Etheria giggled as she arched an eyebrow at Mitzie asking permission to rub her stomach.

“Y… yeah” Mitzie stuttered out staring at her stomach as if waiting for it to grow more.

Etheria leaned forward closing her eyes and placed a hand on each side of Mitzie’s stomach. As she did so, an emerald-green light emanated from Etheria’s hands.

“Darius, Grandson of Samael, King of Etherios, I greet you on behalf of your kingdom and loyal subjects,” she spoke softly.

Mitzie was too stunned to do or say anything. She was really starting to wonder just what was in that food she had at the benefit dinner.

Etheria kept her eyes closed while the light continued to come from her hands. It appeared to Mitzie that Etheria was having a silent conversation with the fetus. They sat like that for a moment longer until the baby gave a good kick.

Etheria opened her eyes, sat back, and the light disappeared. She chuckled at the stunned look on Mitzie’s face.

“My apologies, sister. Our king thought it rude of me to not acknowledge him.”

“I’m…” Mitzie started, “I am just unsure of this dream. I know you say it’s not one, but there is absolutely no way any of what you’re saying can be real. I still don’t know what happened, how I wound up here, and what’s going on!” Mitzie began fighting the urge to cry.

“Dear sister,” Etheria soothingly rubbed Mitzie’s arm and stomach at the same time. “I will tell you. I would ask that you please keep calm until I finish, and then I will answer any questions that you may have.”

“Alright. I don’t see as where I have much choice at this point” Mitzie said quietly.

Etheria giggled and sat back. With a flick of her wrist, suddenly the white room became a vibrant realm bursting with life and happiness.

“This, sister, is the kingdom of Etherios. You and I are the daughters of the fallen King Samael. Your child is to inherit the throne.”

Mitzie stood from her seat, eyes and mouth wide open, trying to take in all that she was seeing. It looked something like a cross between a vast Roman Empire, and a Medieval Kingdom. She didn’t know how that was possible when they were two vastly different looks, but somehow, they worked well together here. There were no other persons around, but she somehow knew there were others that were there.

"I really don’t understand. I mean, I love to dream…or excuse me, would love to believe this, but I really don’t know how any of this is possible,” Mitzie said in a muffled voice.

“My parents are Roger and Cynthia Kingsley. I grew up in Denver, Colorado, and you’re telling me none of that’s true?” She asked looking at Etheria.

“Etheria smiled. “Yes, our Earthly parents are Roger and Cynthia Kingsley, and yes, everything that you’ve experienced thus far in your life has been true. Where the difference is, however, is that Earthly mother did not become pregnant with us through natural means,” Etheria explained.

Mitzie sharply turned her head to look at Etheria like she’d seen a ghost.

“Our people had been at peace for thousands of centuries after our father, excuse me, our kingdom father, King Samael, signed a peace treaty with species from the other realms, as did his father before him,” Etheria began.

“Wait, hold on,” Mitzie held up her hand to stop Etheria from speaking. “So, you’re saying we’re not on Earth right now?”

“No, dear sister. We are currently among the vast constellations in the galaxy of Etheron. This is where our kingdom lies. I am giving you a view of our kingdom of Etherios. We share a galaxy border to the right with the kingdom of Ervila.” She explained.

“Okay,” Mitzie held her hand to her mouth in thought. “How are you my twin sister?”

“I was wondering when you were going to ask that,” Etheria giggled.

“Father’s’ oldest and wisest diviner, Milvan, sensed unrest coming from the Ervila kingdom when their King’s son, Japheth, killed him to take control of their kingdom. It is well known throughout the galaxies that Japheth swore to undo all peace treaties made by his predecessors.”

Mitzie slowly nodded her head as if agreeing with Etheria’s words.

“Father knew it would only be a matter of time before Japheth attempted to overthrow other kingdoms to expand his own. Our kingdom mother, Queen Zawiya, was pregnant with us at the time,” Etheria continued.

Mitzie placed both of her hands on her hips and stared ahead trying to take in all that was being told to her. She then sat down so that she wouldn’t fall over from the information overload.

“Father was very protective of us, as it had been told that his seed would continue his bloodline and produce the next heir to the throne.

Milvan had foreseen our lineage being wiped out in a great intergalactic battle,” Etheria paused to give Mitzie time to understand.

“Go on,” Mitzie said looking at her.

“The only way to ensure that didn’t happen when Japheth waged war was to move the next line of royalty somewhere that Japheth could not easily find us.

Milvan searched across all galaxies for pure hearts in which to plant Father’s seeds that were currently growing in mother. The objective was to find someone that would nurture the seeds until our time came to return to Etherios and reclaim our kingdom.”

“So, that doesn’t explain what happened with you in mother’s womb,” Mitzie tilted her head waiting for Etheria to explain. This should be interesting to hear, Mitzie thought.

“Milvan found the Kingsley’s through his visions. They were a couple that were unable to conceive but had hearts that were pure. With father’s and mother’s approval, Milvan used his sorcery removed us from mother’s womb, made a visit to Earth one night as the Kingsley’s slept, and implanted us in Cynthia’s womb.”

“Huh,” Mitzie tutted. “You’ve got me intrigued to hear more.”

Etheria laughed as she leaned forward slightly to rub Mitzie’s stomach again. “Just as father suspected, Japheth waged war against Etherios. Father was fatally injured, and mother, in her despair, was unable to care for herself or the kingdom. A member of the royal family was required to nurse mother and oversee things.”

Mitzie cocked her head “I still don’t understand how you just seemed to disappear from mother…I mean, Cynthia’s womb,” she asked confused.
