“Mom?” Mitzie balanced the cell phone between her shoulder and her ear as she used a spoon to scoop some ice cream and the chocolate cake that she was finally able to get her hands on into her mouth. It was every bit as good as she had expected. She licked some of the chocolate-brandy sauce off of the corner of her mouth.
