Chapter 56: Seraphina

Seraphina POV

I wish I could say that my time in cells got better, however the joke was on me. I went without food and water until just two hours prior to the funeral service for my father. Why hadn’t Callan come to check on me. I fully expected that once he spoke to me on the phone that he would race here and demand that he see me.

I had just finished my second piece of bread when Allister walked back down the cellar stairs and demanded that I stand up.

Joke was on him. My injuries had only worsened without any sort of nourishment or medicine intervention. Standing would be impossible.

When I didn’t move, Allister came over and pulled me by the hair. I screamed in agony as I felt like my hair was being pulled out of my scalp.

“Get up Seraphina, its time to get yourself cleaned up,” Allister growled out. Before we got to the stairs, I found my footing and stumbled up the stairs as he continued to drag me.
