Few years down the line, now fully acclimatized with this new home environment of mine, I've now become a full grown teenager, almost leaving that stage for the life of adulthood.
17years of age.
The day was gradually going down and it became cold.. the type of coldness that reached into my bones, as if my heart was a door left wide open to the icy wind, slamming only to open again. The only thing to do was to keep being covered, as frost grew over the windows even as the duvet kept me warm a bit.
I watched the ice-crystals grow and glow in the almost dark sky for a while, allowing my brain to be empty of any kind of worry, content to exist and be.
"The morning would bring the beauty of the ice for sure, that crunch under boot and the bold greeting cold air brings." I encouraged myself as I watched the evening sun cast long shadows on the ground. The slanting rays of the setting sun gave a warm orange tinge to the sky.
Gradually, all faded, and before I could process and understand everything, it was midnight already. It felt like the day was fast forwarded right before me.
The entire family just had a slap-up meal for dinner and everyone was now based in their respective rooms.
I felt press, needed to empty my bladder as I struggled to lift myself off my bed. Getting to the cloakroom and sat, I heard a loud growl coming from outside. Fear gripped me, reminding me of my past experiences. I struggled to get a hold of myself and peeped through the window and looked up at the blanket of stars that stretched to infinity.
The pale and fairly full, crescent moon suddenly moved to my view, and shone like a silvery claw in the night sky.
I took a deep breath and sighed, still observing my environment.
The night was so silent that you could hear a pin drop to the ground.
I wonder where I got such courage from; maybe I needed to take note of every scene so I could tell the tale whenever the need arises.
Right before me, the shimmering moon became completely full, and as such, the occasional bark-whorl of a faraway dog broke the silence as it was communicating with the moon, increasing the whimpering sounds of wolves each passing second.
I suddenly began to feel my entire body changing… and moulding itself into its new shape; a lot taller and broader than my usual human body, and somewhat slouched.
Hair sprouts all over my body…
My once normal human hand became mangled and my skin peeled away like a banana… scarily replaced with the large, hairy, dangerous clawed hands of a beast.
Longer fingers…
I could feel my eyes changing too… radiating from their sockets.
Yes! That yellow glowing obs of a predator.
And now, stripped of all humanity and replaced with that of a hunter, as my pupils dilated.
My vision became excellent and extraordinary!
My ears elongated upwards…
My bones began to snap, lengthy and popped through my skin and back. Repositioning…
Stretching and tightening my skin over my new form.
My face contorted and splitted as my snout forms.
Fangs followed suit.
My entire system was like it was set on fire from the inside, blazing hot, and I was groaning in excruciating pain.
My life felt worse… my organs were like they were being torn and ripped apart… my quivering feet kept lurching… my senses heightened… I felt something like a stiff hand dug into my body, ripping my heart off my chest like it was being slaughtered into shreds.
I've never felt such in my entire life before!
I looked down to my feet, and saw how they grew longer before me..
I cried… expecting to get help until Alpha Rocksmire and Luna Emirallia rushed in to see my entire body changing drastically.
I became butt naked.
Belletta's personal guard, Smart, was trying to come close to help out, but Alpha Rocksmire held him back, and Luna Emirallia hurled a dead stick which she was holding, at me. It got to me and immediately broke, shattering into bits. And my hand which I flung into the air, trying to dodge the strike, struck the iron pole of my bed behind me, producing a clanging sound like two irons struck together, with a lightening effect and sparkles in the room.
My heart leaped with fear and tension as I turned and saw that the iron was bent, and I watched myself become different and stronger, having no idea what it was, as my view on my window reflected in my eyes.
I tried to release the tension by shedding tears as I felt like crying, but the tears refused to drop… all dried up in their sockets.
Belletta came over, so did the other guards, but none could stop me. My sight became irritating to them all, but they didn't look it... and the chief chef let out a loud cry,
"Get a hold of her.. don't let her go..!"
I just couldn't stand them watching at me anymore, so I tunred back to the window and made a loud growl, facing the full moon.. Then I hopped out through the window, dashing off far deep into the woods, on all fours.
My speed intensified… the darkness of the forest became thicker and blinding.
I had no idea where I was headed but I kept sprinting until I got to a strange, small hut; a hut made of fine ancient bricks and mud, glistening like a diamond.
I paused, trying to peep through the fairly shut door. Fallen grasses dangled around the door knob, almost thwarting me from holding it. I turned the knob, pushed the door gently and it made a high, groaning sound, like a rusty gate swinging shut.
"You're welcome, Irisha… Feel free to come in.." I heard someone say.
I retracted.
Suddenly, a man walked through the door… His face was cloudy.
I howled as I saw his eyes burning with flames, with thick hairs plastered all over him. I could hear myself from about eight to nine miles away.
"No need for all these now, Irisha… you've finally gotten here…" he said, walking towards me as I walked backwards, slowly.
"Now come here!" He commanded as he gripped and yanked me closer.
I could feel the tension welling up in my eyes as the usual energetic self had already left me.
I screamed so loudly, almost breaking my voice completely. A loud, hard knock plastered on my head like a blasting thunder.
—----------
"You still here, Irisha?"
I heard my name faintly, but couldn't comprehend if I actually heard correctly.
"Did you just hear what I said, Irisha…? We're running late already… let's get going..!" The voice spoke again, this time, accompanied by a soft but hard slap on my cheek. I adjusted my fingers a little. The pain wasn't that much.
But I still didn't budge.
It was when the last one struck me, I shrieked and popped from my chair.

Right from my reverie, my eyes shot open! "W-what t-th-, um-mm why did you strike me that hard..? Don't you know it hurts..? What did I do…?" I bawled out! "Woo.. woo…That's indeed a great standpoint! But h-h-old on… girl… What were you thinking about, staring into oblivion, looking all lost and drained?" She shoved her hand into her mini bag, "here, just take a good look at yourself, you've automatically developed hollow eyes! See yourself..? Take, take a look!" She brought out a little mirror, and stretched it to me. "Well, I'm done buying the snacks. Here, take." She handed over to me, the fancy polythene wrapper in her other hand. My acceptance was quite poor, not knowing what exactly was inside the bag, neither was her face looking bright as she released it out. I opened it partly, and saw it was a crispy sweet Danish pastry with a filling of apple and raspberry. The aroma was supposed to be heavenly, yet I didn't notice. "I was only trying to inform you that it's almost t
I recalled I never asked Belletta what she meant by that word, 'rogue'. Though I had a little idea about it, but needed to know more. I had to ask. "You just called me a rogue. Sorry, please, who's a rogue, and why did you call me that?" Confusion drenched me this time. Funnily enough, he lulled. I wondered what he was thinking. Maybe that question was quite strange or funny to him as it's believed that all must know about that in the pack. "Okay, just come with me, let's get out of here first." He said, holding my hand, but I pulled it back. I was worried, terribly worried, and I had no idea what was going on and who he was; but all I needed at that time was help to find my way out of that forest. I followed immediately. He took me into his hut, there I met some others, one male and two females. They looked quite friendly, but I didn't really need to trust them right now. "This is our secret, little space; a place we cal-" he paused as he pointed at the others, and conti
"A werewolf hybrid…? A different specie…? How? Why? How possible is that, and how come no one ever told me that? But I've been living a normal life since but werewolves don't… right..?" Questions Questions Questions My head exploded like a bomb was blasted in there. "Hey Irisha," I snapped as Lili called me. "You know what, just be calm, you'll get to know more about yourself soon; it's not something you're going to learn about in just a single day. Okay?" She said, as she came back to me again, and helped me out from the ground. "You're going to be fine. Okay?" She said, nodding her head. I was just there, imagining how my new life was going to be, my mind racing to different directions. A soft tap came on my skin, and I jerked back to normal. "Now it's time to get a new look for you; you need to freshen up, you're not looking nice like this." Lili suggested, as if she was looking dazzling herself. I admit, I was dirty. Walking a few metres away from me, to somet
It felt like the earth was going to open up and swallow us up. I flinched and wailed as I twisted to my side; just by the same right side I saw nothing initially. It was a scary looking and roughly dressed, quite aged woman. Her hair was black, with stripes of white patches on it. Its length was almost touching her calf. I looked at the two guys who brought me here, but from their facial expressions, I didn't need anyone to tell me that they were excited to see her. "Move over here!" The woman commanded, making an eerie sound. Her set of teeth was jam-packed as she opened her mouth to speak; the color was so horrible and spooky. I pondered on how the smell of that mouth would be like with those teeth and black tongue in there. Grouchy! Hesitantly, I took a step but froze afterwards, thinking of what to do next. That place was off, I swear! I glared around, then ran off to meet Beta Bachrill. OMG!!! "Please, what's this for? Who's she..? And why is she asking me to com
Having an identity gives one that sense of belonging about where he's from, and knowing about your identity is another. Two important combinations! I was supposed to be scared right now, but you know what, I wasn't. Surprised..? That's because I know I now have a family who accepts me as one of them, knowing they're all werewolves. "But this pack, isn't she supposed to have an Alpha?" I wondered, still in the arms of Beta Bachrill. "Calm down Irisha, you'll soon find that out too." Gamma Sly said, and I pulled myself out of Beta Bachrill's arms, and gave a swift look at him. "How did you do that? How did you know what I was saying?" I asked, looking so surprised. "Mindlink, Irisha. Mindlink." Beta Bachrill replied. "You too..? You can actually do that too?" "Of course, I can too. I actually heard you but didn't want to talk about that yet, so I kept mute." "Wow! Would also love to know how too, since I'm one of you." "Sure… just listen, and you'll hear. That's all
Gamma Sly was living close to the border of his pack, the boundary between the two packs, the Blessed Moon Pack where Alpha Rocksmire was living, and the Grey Moon Pack where Beta Bachrill was living. Hence the quick perception of my scent. So I thought though. Very far away from the happenings of my environment, I felt a soft edge like that of an apex, dangling on me, and tickling my thighs. I hopped from my lying spot, slapping away whatever it was. I never knew my gown was far raised above my knees. "Would you get the fuck up?" A masculine voice spoke, his words were accompanied by a penetrating whop with a horse whip. I clamored… holding my left thigh where it struck. "Now get inside!" He pulled a fairly young girl out from the corner I couldn't see, and hauled her into the cage as he quickly opened and closed it. Her face wasn't clear to me because she came in facing down, and the darkness of the open place didn't help either, and she ended up on the hard, steel floor on
I could imagine why they were brought there. "Why are you here?" Gracielia sobed, her tone depicting worry. I honestly spoke my mind of not knowing why, still, and she heaved a sigh of worry. I didn't expect less from her, as I asked her, her reason for being there too. "It's not a good thing to be a member of a small pack, and an Omega for that matter." Bellai said and hissed. Her demeaning tone showed how bitter she was. "Why did you say that?" I asked. "Because you can be rough handled at any time, and there'll be no one to fight nor stand for you." I sensed defiance in her voice. "Would you mind telling me more about being an Omega?" I questioned, and she didn't hesitate. "But I tell you, Irisha, from the look of things, I feel leaving here anytime soon isn't going to be that possible because the Grey Moon Pack is known for their deadlines all around every other packs, both far and near. We've now become full-time slaves to them!" Gracielia scowled and I shrugged, pi
The gulch- the dungeon became filled with so much tension that our eyes remained pooped as we paid so much attention, hoping for help as we waited for our turn. Lucky Bellai. I wished we could join her in her sleep too, so we wouldn't need to worry about the happenings in the cage. "I feel we're going to die now… They're here to kill us.." Gracielia whispered, as she hid herself behind me again at the sound of the steps, crying silently. Just his shadow was enough to tear the entire cage into shreds, and fill up the gulch. Jasminna came closer, following the tiny stairs at one end of the cage. I don't really know how he did that. Our feet wiggled, feeling like they were going to sunder from their joints. His eyes were dazzling green in colour, flickering like the translucent lamb a few steps from us. His sparkling gaze came fixed in a different direction from ours. Beside us. I quickly followed their direction and saw they were on Bellai. He cocked his head. "He has come to ta
