Hannah's POVThe past few days went by peacefully. I spent a lot of time with Daniel after work. Although I would like to say that it was against my will, I really enjoyed time with him. We would be home and talking most of the time, about his work and sometimes even about his childhood.Daniel would ask about my day at work, but I would reply saying that it was just the usual. However tonight, Daniel insisted that I show him one of my textbooks about medicine. I refused at the start but after all the improvements we've made between us, I pulled out my textbook and let him look through it. His face brightened like a kid with candy. We were sitting in the livingroom, as Daniel flipped through the pages often asking about a few terms that he wasn't aware of. I tried my best to explain the meanings to him and somehow he connected medical prcedures with business tactics. Soon, Brother walked in and also sat down with Daniel and looked through it as well." Well, lucky me. I do not have to
Hannah's POVEverything is definitely not ok...In the next few days, Matt was back and had not left me out of his sight. After receiving strict instructions from Daniel, Matt would park the car and walk into the hospital with me. He would demand my schedule for the whole day and if I did not have any surgeries he demanded that I meet up with him every hour. We would have lunch together with Joseph and Matt definitely had reservations about Joseph because of his chirpy behavior.Joseph suspected something was about to happen because of all the security measures. I did too. Now I was back home with Daniel. One minute I was sleeping peacefully and the next I hear a gunshot ringing through the air. Daniel and I both sat up hurriedly as sweat started to drip down my forehead. Daniel jumped out of the bed and sprinted out of the room while telling me to stay in the room. I had been sitting for a while but the doubt of what had happened to who got me out of our room.I sprinted down the sta
Hannah's POVBefore I could react, I felt something poking my side. " Now, if I were you, I would not move and just listen," A very familiar voice commanded. I froze just as my captives asked me to. My eyes moved to the rearview mirror and I saw Him, sitting very relaxed. My head whipped to the side to recognize the other person." I believe I have never told you my name. I am Louis, Louis Smith. Now you see, I have a fully loaded gun that is poking your side as of now. Any sudden movements and a bullet will be shot right into your side. Seeing as that you're a doctor, you know how much damage that would make." Louis smirked, digging the gun deeper into my side.I winced slightly, but immediately shut up once a glare was shot at me. " Now Hannah, I want you to pull the car out of the parking lot. Then you will follow the instructions provided by the GPS. Got it?" Louis asked, plugging his handphone into my car and pulling up the address. He also took my phone, switched it off, broke m
Hannah's POVWhen the police arrested Paul and Louis, exhaustion finally caught up to me. The ambulance had also arrived, placing Paul on the stretcher. Even after everything Paul had done to me, I insisted that I be let into the same ambulance to reduce his blood flow. Daniel refused multiple times but after I hopped into the ambulance, he joined me and sat down beside me. I immediately got to work to make the blood stop pouring out.Daniel sat beside me feeling confused. The other paramedic and I fought against time to stop the blood flow. With the equipment in the ambulance, we could only give him first aid and pain medication. Daniel noticed that I had hurt myself and alerted me immediately. I disinfected the wound and bandaged it up. Once the ambulance arrived at the hospital, the driver and the paramedic immediately brought him in shouting a quick thank you to me.The police car had been traveling behind us and rushed in with the medics to make sure that Paul would not escape. Hannah's POVWhat did I ever do wrong? Why do I deserve this treatment? Am I not his wife?I thought as I fixed breakfast. Hastily adding the ingredients for soup, I picked the spatula and stirred the mixture. Gosh! He is sick and I am very worried something worse will happen. I don't even think that he is going to drink it. Reducing the heat, I let it boil for a while before bringing it down. Pouring the soup into a soup bowl, I carried his soup and utensils in a tray. Standing before his bedroom, I took a deep breath before knocking on his door. "Come in!" He shouted back. I pushed the handle down and pushed the door. Lifting my gaze, I saw him lying against the bedpost with a computer in his lap. His phone was in between his ear and shoulder as he spoke to the person. He does not have a freaking shirt. Only a pair of sweatpants! Urgh! Someone catch me before I fall.I walked slowly, nearing his bed inch by inch. He sighed on the phone before muttering a soft 'hold on'. " I br
Hannah's POVAs I walked in, I could see that Daniel had shifted to the sofa in the living room. Hearing the sound of me walking in, his head had not tilted up. " I need to discuss something with you." I started, removing my coat. " Is it very important?" He asked, typing away on his computer. " Yes, it is because you might not have another time to talk to me other than now." I snapped, removing my shoes. " Ok, what is it about?" He asked, finally looking up from the laptop screen. " I want to move out," I answered, a feather of hope flying in my heart. " This is what you wanted to talk about?" He questioned, looking back at his laptop. " Yes. I am going to move out tomorrow. I will bring my clothes along to work—" I barely finished before he started talking once again. " I am not going to stop you from leaving. Therefore, you do not have to explain to me how you are going to leave. I will call you when either of our parents calls." And with a wave of his hand, he dismissed me no
Hannah's POVAlmost a month has gone by. One freaking month. Still no word from him. My mind wandered as the nurse was asking something. " Dr Moore?" A faint voice sounded in my brain. " Umm yeah, you were saying?" I shook my head, trying to clear it. " I was saying that you killed a patient." She replied, her eyes gazing deep into mine." WHAT?!" I shouted. " I am kidding! Dr Moore, are you ok? Should I get Dr Joseph?" She asked, a smile peaking from her lips. " No no, I'm fine. What were you actually saying?" I asked, slightly hitting her head. " I was asking if you are going to turn up to the party at the club?" She asked, half pleading. I sighed, thinking of an excuse. " She'll turn up. Don't worry." Joseph shooed the nurse away. " I am not going," I replied, placing the diagnosis sheet on the table and started walking. " No, you are. I am not going to let you rot in that rotting dump of yours." Joseph warned, gripping my wrist. He's got to stop doing that." Can I have my w
Hannah's POVHe nodded, swearing to secrecy. "I have a problem." Those words alarmed him, his eyes widening."I have Androphobia. I get scared when I am near men. Especially if they are taller than me. I figured it out a few years ago." I whispered to him. "Wait, so you love your husband but you are scared of him?!" He shouted. " Shhh!" I shushed him. " Sorry. But I just can't put my head around it." He held his head low. "And the thing is, I am a doctor." A gasp sounded from him, loud enough to make a few heads turn around. I sighed, placing my head in my palms. "Is something the matter, Lance? Is this woman bothering you?" A new voice boomed behind me. I turned around to face the bouncer from the entrance, but much closer. He was threateningly close to me. My lungs started to disfunction. My breathing became sloppier. I started shaking slightly, out of fear. "Sean! Move away from her. You are scaring her!" Lance shouted and placed his hands on my shoulder to calm me down. But
