Jane paced in front of the theatre anxiously. It had been nine hours since the surgery started and it was already nine pm. How long was this going to take? Forever? Well, no matter how long it took, she was ready to wait. Joy had already gone home because of her husband and children so she was the only one left to be restless. After waiting for what seemed to be eternity, she finally saw the surgeons walk out of the theatre with a tired look. She tried to prep but the door was closed again. One of the surgeons who saw her behavior stopped in front of her. " Calm down, Miss, everything is fine now because the surgery was successful but for now, you need to be patient so they can finish cleaning him up. " It felt like a huge burden was finally lifted off her shoulders. She smiled happily at the man who nodded and left so he could go and rest. " Yes. It's finally over. " She would not feel any desperation any longer, she was going to be happy for the rest of her days, so she thought.

Allen drove into Old Madam Ryan's mansion and parked his car. He got out of it with a normal look and turned around. He always had a warm face whenever he came to visit. The men he assigned to watch over every human and thing in the mansion ran over to meet him. They bowed slightly. " Welcome, young master. " The man who was the leader greeted. " Hmm. Any problem? " He asked. " No sir, everything is fine and the movement of Old Madam is in limit now. " The man responded and Allen nodded. " Good. Dismiss. " Allen ordered and they bowed slightly before leaving. Allen walked into the mansion and surveyed the surrounding. The maids all assembled themselves before him with slight fear in them. Allen looked at the women, his eyes searching for one person in particular. " Where is Mama Coco? '' He asked. " She is with Madam, Young Master. " They replied in unison and he left. The ray of sunlight that pierced through the light curtains in the room woke Jane from her sleep. She rubbed her eyes and yawned. She looked around and her eyes fell on her brother who had woken up. She smiled at him. " Hey Bruno, how was your night? " She asked while he only gave a sign of replying by blinking his eyes like he always did and she was used to knowing that sign. " That's good. Very soon you will be back on your feet and you will start talking. I am so happy for you, Bruno." Jane's stare was sincere. Bruno looked at his sister with utmost joy in his heart because she wasn't crying or smiling bitterly as she would in the past but where could she have found such a huge amount of money? This served as a mystery to him and he hoped that she had not done something stupid that could ruin both of their lives, mostly hers. " I will go home and prepare beef soup for you. Allen arrived at his office and his appearance was just the normal way of how things were being run in the company. He was going through one of the files on his table as usual with Kyle on the sofa watching a soccer match. He was deeply engrossed in it and couldn't hide his excitement whenever his favourite team won. The office was soundproof luckily so Allen was faced with no other choice but to go for the last option...pretend to be deaf by putting on the bluetooth device. A female secretary knocked, despite the music blasting through the earpiece and the soccer going on, the two men could still hear the knock. At a moment, Kyle cheerful look turned cold while Allen's remained expressionless. " Come in. " He ordered. The secretary dressed in a tight fitted skirt and a top walked in swaying her hips effortlessly. Kyle didn't spare a glance at her as his eyes were still glued to the screen. Allen's car halted in front of an abandoned building and he looked at his left-hand side as if searching for a human's movement. The breeze blew softly against his cold skin as he got out of the car. It was late in the evening already. He pressed the Bluetooth device in his ear to receive the incoming call. " I just arrived and I am about to go in. " He said and the caller ended the conversation.Allen walked towards the building and opened the door. He entered, and his feet made a loud sound on the broken glasses on the ground. He looked around the room which appeared to be the sitting room scrutinizing each detail he could find. He brought out his phone and dialed Xander's number. " Yes, Allen. " " I am in the sitting room right now. " Allen said. " Okay. Find the basement, I believe that he must be there. " " How sure are you that it is the basement? " Allen asked silently. Kyle did not say a word until they arrived at Allen's mansion. If Old Madam Ryan's mansion was big then this mansion was super huge than anything she could have ever imagined. Though she wasn't the religious type, she also heard that if you build a whole building on this Earth, you can only sleep in a room designed only for you. The next morning, Jane woke up from her bed feeling more relaxed or better still, more energetic than ever. She opened her eyes clearly and looked at the spacious room. Where was she? It didn't look like she was kidnapped or battered so where...oh, she remembered that she was brought in here by a handsome-looking man just to see her husband and probably to start living with him. Then she was reminded by her heart that she ought to be downstairs last night for dinner so she braced herself up and went to the bathtub. Taking a bath in the tub was overwhelming but it would take her some time so she used the shower instead.She had her towel tied around her wet hair as sheopened the wardrobe, to her surprise, it was filled with different ladies' dresses and mostly underwear. That made her blush. Where and when did they get to buy these? After Bert made sure that she was satisfied with the morning meal she had eaten, they started the tour of the mansion. He began to introduce the rooms to her and also some parts of the mansion so she wouldn't get confused.The mansion had five bedrooms, four sitting rooms, a mini cinema house and a sports arena, a big swimming pool, and a gym house.
