RUBY'S POV

Humming to myself as I made my way to the room where Dax was admitted along with a paper bag filled with lunch I bought from a restaurant for both of us, I hoped he would wake up to eat with me because I missed him and missed eating with him.

I opened the door when I got to the room and immediately I walked in, I noticed the atmosphere was different.

Dax was awake and seated up in bed and I was about to hug him but noticed he was staring at me like he didn't recognize me. I frowned because I didn't know why he would be watching me with such foreign eyes.

I looked at Simon, hoping he would tell me what was happening but he also stared at me the same way and I wondered again, what on earth was happening and why they were both staring at me like that.
