Melissa's POV
I was remorseful all through the drive to Saint Sanctuary Orphanage Conference. Since I last spoke with Alice, I haven't received her call, nor from Kelly. Likewise, our group chat was void of messages. They must have been mad at me. I felt remorseful for not attending the Party at which I was the main guest.
To be candid, after that call, I tend to rest for 30 minutes to clear the bulky burden in my head. —I felt as though some minutes of rest would help me and at least liven my mood.
I reset the alarm for 30 minutes but when I woke up, the time was 8: 45 this morning.
I couldn't believe I had slept for as good as 12 hours and more, yet, I still feel junk in my head. It whirls and spins every damn minute.
Also, each cranny of my body was aching me seriously.
In a nutshell, I was still not in a good mood. And I was still aggravated to this moment. But I have to attend the conference and be a role model for those children.
My gaze had been on my phone from time to time, waiting for their call or message but to no avail, none of that happened.
I stopped at the sight of the red light and chose the time to text them in the group again. Both Alice and Kelly were online. I was relieved they were at least safe. I'd better drop another message.
"Kelly… What happened? Are you guys safe?" I directed the text to Kelly knowing Alice would never reply to my message since Kelly was an atypical girl opposite to Alice.
My heart raised slightly as the two marks turned blue and my tensed body waited patiently for their reply.
"Goddamnit! They've both viewed it!"
A minute went by and none of them chose to reply. I fixated on the screen like one whose life depends on that text. And then, another minute went by.These two silly girls have viewed all my messages including the private ones, yet, they refuse to reply to me with either call or a message.
I was annoyed and devastated by their attitude.
Unexpectedly, my phone slid from my hand. A hit on my car caused my whole frame to booze like a drunk man if not that I was held by the seatbelt.
"Who dared hit my car?" I gritted and blazed an ardent gaze through the front mirror.
In a short while, a man alighted from the car behind me. My hand gripped the wheel, rubbing on it with both grief and impatience.
Just then a knock on the side window caught my attention, though, I was at full expectation of what the man just did.
He looked as much like a man in his early 50s, dressed in a black tuxedo. He gestured his hand at me to roll down the glass even though it was tinted.
The hard frown on my face still refused to disappear. Glaring at him sparked up some disgusting feelings in me that I almost puke.
His fame was huge and I could tell that he was a random goon as he behaved insanely. —While standing close to that door, he repeatedly knocked on the glass, then, rubbed the frontal hair of his short haircut while keeping a straight face on the glass.
I was taken aback. Was he checking out his handsomeness? Doesn't he have any curtsy?
Again, he knocked on it maliciously and flipped down his finger, summoning me to alight. In return, I was more irritated. He raised a brow at me pompously as if he already knew who was in my car.
Who was he to ask me to get down when he should apologize for hitting my car? He could have gestured politely and bowed that fucking head to me humbly!
Some people were just too insolent!
Something tickled my right ear. It made me shiver and I feel so cozy yet flaming heat like fire. Scratching that spot, I wish the man just disappear. Someone like him wouldn't apologize. And I don't want my little demoness to keep whispering in my ear. —Well, it's a habit of mine when the demoness whispers in my ears, it tickled me that I had to scratch that spot involuntarily.
The f*cking demon that runs through my bloody vein whenever I'm provoked.
"Change! You've changed, Lissa." My other ear tickled me with an angelic tone.
To calm down, I welcomed a short less-tempered breath into my core and roll down the glass. A light smile on my face as I tend to attend to him responsibly.
"Hi?" I said, more of asking him… what the hell is up with him?
Indeed, I was freaked but my promise not to indulge in anything havoc whether the same or similar to my past made me want to maintain this new personality of mine intact.
"Ma'am, perhaps you forget to see the light sign." he pointed across the sign light which was now blinking red. "That light had once turned green and cars were lining behind you. Despite the horn signs, you don't move an inch. Was something bothering a pretty girl like you?"
Oh gosh! I've misjudged this oldie. He was more polite than I thought. In return, I gestured with smiles and bowed my head to him pleadingly.
Immediately, I whine up the glass and kick start the engine, moreover, the sign already turned green. I haven't rolled it up when a hard thud fell on the glass.
"What?" I gasped, a little shuddered as it met me suddenly.
"What are you? A girl like you shouldn't forget the rules. You should learn to respect when did something wrong." That politeness in him faded, it seemed replaced by arrogance and superiority.
My eyes followed his utterance as he scanned through my car. I felt sorry when I looked through the rear mirror and saw many cars bypassing while some drivers lashed out some inaudible curse utterance towards me.
My head wrinkled remorsefully. I'd cause a commotion by mistake. It was so rude of me, I was remorseful and I'd plead to this man politely.
But what more of me did he want? Why behave insolence?
"Err… I am—"
Melissa's POV "Err… I am—" Unwaveringly, the man interrupted with another round of lectures. But this time, it was extremely malicious and imprudence. "I understand if this is your first time driving but always attach that L-tags at the plates so that we can forgive you of your incompetency." He shook his head with sarcasm and a light smile mended his broad oval face. I was speechless, completely. Those patches of gray hair on him made him look oldie and I respect that about him. But this smile and those wrinkles along the lane of his huge smile were irritating me badly. I released another breath and scratched twice my temple. A wave of anger bubbles inside of me and I flamed at his orbs angrily. Those looks of mine were enough to make a virile man peed but then, I called my demonic aura back to normal and smiled at him lovingly. I understood that he was aggrieved but why would he insult me? "Ha...Papa, I was carried away." I smiled angelically, then, blazed at him seriously w
Donald's POV"Perfect!!!" A loud happy scream escaped from my lips. But caution it as I stylishly put myself in control. Thankfully, I was alone in this black Ferrari 812 model. This lady held me curious in the blink of sight. I shoved out my phone, and zoom in to have her perfect pictures. At what next she does, my lips got parted and refused to close for a moment. The Lady flexibly strode her fingers across Frisco's arm as she toss to his back. A salacious seductive smile was broad on her face.Damnit! Frisco…! That as$hole would have gotten a boner… certainly. Within a blink, her face turned serious and blazed at him ferociously. Her snaking fingers tussled onto Frisco's wrist and in a short bit, his entire front strongly pressed against the car. One of her hands pulled his head to the glass captively, while she kicked his legs like a footballer.Frisco was down kneeling within a breath. Soundly, his front slid down against the car. Oh My Goodness! I covered my lips from the sho
Donald's POV As Frisco doze off on the highway like a drunkard. I was pissed. With a hand, I dragged him into the back seat. All through the drive, I was wondering about that girl. She held me curious and I wouldn't let off until I learn about her. I shoved out my phone and forward the picture to Edward, —the Shark Wing Researcher for Mexico Branch, and in one shot, I gave him a dial. "Edward, look into that feminine in the picture and give me a report on every damn thing about her!" I said in one breath. "Copy!" Edward ended the call after his reply. That daughter of a bitch dares toy with me. Although, I wasn't pissed by her, but rather by this as$hole who couldn't do anything. He disappointed me badly! I could have just let her off since I got all I need to track her but I was getting obsessed with her mode of driving. Perhaps she thought I was following her. She drives crazily like a Stunt. Was she a racer as well? Another round of furor sparked up in me. A huge laugh
Donald's POVI whistled to catch her attention. She was overly disappointed. I struggled to keep my disbelief from showing on my face. I was awfully shocked when I saw her leg trapped within."You... can... come in." I ushered her in and pondered why she had to do it when she couldn't pull the door apart. To my shock, she walked into the elevator gorgeously. I'd thought that the joint of her bone would have crushed into pieces but well, she seems competent and looked like she was into this act and had become an expert."Thank you." She mumbled. My eyes closed involuntarily as the melody of her voice tore down the shock I was yet to absorb. A light smile eloped from my lips unplanned. The fact that the lady was dressed differently from the tyrant earlier astonished me even more. Her hair served as the first guise. The woman from earlier has hair that is dark and shiny. But here, she was with red hair, curled and packed to fall on one shoulder. She was also wearing a long, silver gow
Melissa's POVAs his brow raised, his mouth airy me to stop whatever utterance coming out of me and a finger pointed to his phone as though to tell me he was on a call.He plastered the phone firmly to his ear and averted his gaze from me. I blinked severally. A mind-blowing breeze refilled my lungs and I could finally breathe. He was whispering into his phone saying a foreign language. My heart was praying so badly that the elevator should open before he end the call. Why the heck did I say… pardon? What did I expect to say or hear from him? A filthy like him!My toes were dancing underneath my heels impatiently while I form pretend with an elegant mature face. Fortunately, the elevator opened just as when his arms slumped down from his ear. I was damn fortunate! I wailed happily as I dash out of the elevator. "You must be Ms. Davis." at my first step outside, a female kid of about 5 years of age said to me smilingly.Fortunately for us, I haven't crushed her. My face brightened
Donald's POVAfter 5 minutes, the hall brightened up. But littered with people running here and there. The uprouse were tried to be controlled by security guards, directing those kids to safety, likewise the adults. On the stage was the Lady laying upon Reverend Thompson. Sister Jane was too shocked to approach them and the other sisters nearby. As I saw that father was lifeless, I sprinted over to him and yanked that disgusting girl away."Father! Father!! Father!!!" Reverend Thompson coughed out on the third call.I sagged to the ground, my heart full of gratitude. As she lay motionless on the ground, Sister Jane hovered on her and kept patting her cheeks repeatedly."Ms. Davis!""Ms. Davis, get up!" She spoke tensely. The Lady was still sessile upon all Sis Jane's attempts, however, Sister Jane suddenly let out a startled gasp as she noticed four syringes affixed to the Lady's neck. As she was pulling it out, she continues to gasp in terror I shoved my phone out. "I'll dial 119 no
Melissa's POVI laughed sheepishly, "After one is dead… nothing more to fear, right uhn?!" Before he knew it, I grabbed one of his legs and strangled it. The pain inflicted, made him collapse to the floor. The sudden way, I attacked him, made him free my hair while falling flatly on his stomach. As I was seated, I trapped both legs together and pinned him down on his spine with one of my legs. With rage, I almost twist his waist to face the back.Strongly twisting him as mighty as my strength could make. He winced in pain and I left him not. I might not have enough of my strengths but I haven't lost my skills, tactics, and even willpower. He banged his hands on the floor as if I was playing a sh*t wrestle game with him. In between the gap of my thigh and armpit were his legs hooked strongly."Rot in hell, you, daughter of a bitch! Lemme off!"I laughed. "Even if I will rot in hell… I will kill you in this afterlife first, so you can go to the next afterlife before I do! B*tch!" My
Melissa's POVMy eyes rolled open. A bit comfortable from the softness I felt underneath where I lay. I rushed to sit upright but almost drooled at the beautiful room I was in this time."My goodness, I'm saved!" I screamed excitedly. However, my mind diverted to how I was saved."Who was that man really?—" A slight cough interrupted me and I whipped my neck to the side astonishingly. Narrowing my eyes, I met with a book-back being held in the space by hands… well, a man was sitting on the couch, closer to me. He relaxed leisurely with a book held in his hands but covered up to his face. I frowned, "Who are you?"He was quiet. Unhurriedly, he started to reveal his face as he pull down the book. Once his face was revealed, he closed the book and threw it on his lap quickly. Meanwhile, my gaze has been following him despicably until it got replaced by shock."Mr. Donald?!" He had an unsurprised mild face on while tapping the book with his fingers like playing piano. I gasped out sti
