The elder wolves had called for all the Alphas and potential Alphas. They needed to find out who killed those humans. Not only did the culprit reveal himself to humans as a werewolf, but he also killed them.

Meanwhile, Isaac wasn't bothered, he had instructed some of his trusted werewolves to eliminate any form of clue that would lead the elder wolves to James, so their meeting was just in vain but what he didn't know was that Stan, the gang leader had beaten him to it.

The gang group got their clue before Issac could eliminate any clue.

There was something that Isaac also noticed, both the elder wolves and the Alphas had their eyes on him. It seemed that they suspected him but he cared less. They were just digging into a case the won't solve.

" As we all know, a certain wolf had gone against that werewolf race's number one rule ' never kill a human '." The head of the elder wolves finally broke the silence with his gaze still on Isaac.

Immediately after his words, the crowd started to murmur amongst themselves. Who is this wolf that must have done something so foolish, doesn't this wolf know the punishment of those crimes, and why would this wolf interfere in human matters?

Issac too couldn't deny the fact that the questions being murmured made sense. What was James thinking when he interfered in those humans' problems? There was not a wolf out there that didn't know the consequences of killing and exposing himself to a human. It's always death, if lucky, it would be banishment.

Foolish…..

" Based on the report I got, the wolf killed two human males while three humans escaped telling the world what they saw." The elder wolf continued, with his gaze still on Isaac and it was starting to annoy Isaac.

" So what do you plan on doing?" This time, an Alpha asked whose gaze was also on Isaac.

Well, who could blame them, they would probably think of Issac as the culprit since he was a carefree wolf and tends to do whatever he pleased and what other opportunity would they get to pull him down if it turned out that he was guilty?

It was then that Isaac noticed his ' father ' since he was seated close to the Alpha that asked the question.

No one words could describe the smirk his father had on his face. It seemed that his father also suspected that he was the one and couldn't help but smile at the punishment Isaac would face.

The moment their gaze met, Isaac didn't bother to divert it. He said no words to his father but allowed those stares to do the talking. " I am coming for you" were the words that anyone who had looked into his eyes would read.

Luke smiled, he saw Isaac's reaction as funny. " Let's see about that " he chuckled and turned his gaze back to the elder wolves.

" This wolf is very smart, he or she has erased any trace we could use to hunt him/her down. We were a little too late to get to the sense and we couldn't ask the humans who escaped about the wolf, they will easily figure that we are also werewolves "

Issac smiled, let's see how they would figure out who the wolf was. His smiling face gave the wolves more reasons to be suspicious of him. Why did he have to smile when the wolves said they didn't have any clue? But none of them dared to accuse him since they had no evidence that he was the one.

They knew what Issac was capable of doing to them if he came out innocent. Who in their right senses would take that ridiculous risk…?

" So why did you call us for this meeting if you have no idea how to catch the wolf !" Isaac blurted out with mockery in his voice.

" Don't you ever talk to us in such a manner, it seems you have forgotten so easily who we are." One of the elder wolves yelled but Isaac chose not to be intimidated by the elder wolf's dramatic display.

" What, I said nothing wrong. You know, some of us have important things to do. I would have used this time to spend time with my mate." He made sure to stress the last word.

As expected, everyone in the meeting went dumbstruck, what the heck did he just say? Does he now have a mate? Who is this wolf that had caught his interest? Some of the female Alphas present immediately became jealous, they have been trying to catch the attention of Isaac, and little did they know that he now had a mate.

But those wolves didn't excite Isaac.

Damn, he was overjoyed by the way his ' father ' had reacted, surely he wasn't expecting him to say that but because the meeting wasn't held for Isaac having a mate, no one said anything, at least not now.

" That's none of our business, if you wish to be the next Alpha of your pack, you need to get used to this kind of meeting."

Isaac rolled his eyes in annoyance.

" Spread the news around, whosoever catches the wolf that killed the humans will be given his or her own pack and will be made an Alpha." Said one of the other wolves.

Everyone opened their eyes in shock, what tarnation did he just say? That price was pretty too much, just how determined were they to catch this wolf?

Jacob slightly panicked, if things were done that way, it would only take a matter of time before they fish out James. No way would he allow that.

" Don't you think that it's to the extreme, what do you think the werewolves would say if they figured out that a human was killed by a werewolf and you have not found the culprit? They will probably start to misbehave with the thought that they could go scot-free." Isaac blurted out

Knowing Isaac since he was a little wolfkin and being smart enough, Luke realized that Isaac had a hand in the death of the humans. Isaac will never try to protect anyone unless he had something to gain from it but he chose not to raise any alarm.

It seemed he would also do his investigation since the elder wolves were incompetent.

Isaac knew that he had created more suspicions within the Alphas, especially with his 'father' but still, they dared not say anything.

" Nonsense, no reasonable wolf will try to go against the rules of the wolf unless he or she is wishing for his death. In the meantime, this is the only way we can get close to finding the culprit."

Those words from an elder wolf were another way of telling Isaac to keep quiet. Unless he was ready to proffer a much more effective way to catch the culprit, he should say nothing.

Isaac smirked in pretense, deep inside he was fuming in anger. He drew a line between his lips as a sign that he would remain mute.

" This meeting is over, we will summon you again if there is any update concerning the case." Immediately after the elder wolves said those words, they left the meeting with the intention of avoiding questions from Alphas that would want to talk to them privately.

Luke immediately stood up from his seat and walked up to Isaac; something Isaac was sure would happen.

" Why do I have the feeling that you know something about this case? I have always known you for your carefree life when it came to killing werewolves, it seems you have also picked an interest in humans." Luke blurted out without any care that other Alphas might hear him accuse Isaac.

Isaac let out a faint chuckle, was this how desperate his ' father' was trying to get rid of him?

" I think you are right, fa–"

" How many times do I have to tell you that I am not your father, your father is dead." Luke interrupted whatever Isaac was about to say. Only the stars knew how much he had wanted to say those words to Isaac.

Ever since Luke revealed to Isaac that he was not his father, it felt like a giant stone had been taken away from his back but there Isaac was, still referring to him as a father.

The new Alphas who never knew about Isaac's real father gasped in shock. Wait, he was not Isaac's father, so why was Isaac the next Alpha?

With gritted teeth, Isaac continued with what he was about to say." I think you are right, I have great taste when it comes to werewolves which is why I will come for you and my brothers."

This time, it was Luke who gritted his teeth, Isaac had just threatened him and had referred to his sons as his brother. No way would he let that happen.

" Anyways, I have no time to argue with you. I know you heard me when I said I had a mate and I plan on marking her tonight, so you better enjoy the Alpha title while you still can."

Again, the crowd murmured, what was Isaac talking about, why would he tell Luke to forfeit the Alpha title to him when Luke was still strong and alive?

Feeling embarrassed, Isaac gritted his teeth as he walked a few meters closer to Isaac.

" Why do you think I will do that? I can't possibly give you the Alpha title, it belongs to me and my generations to come. Your father threw your opportunity away when he died." A smirk of victory formed on Luke's face but he was too quick to celebrate.

Everyone knew the kind of person Isaac was especially the possessive aspect of him. There's no way he would allow another wolf to take what was his' without pulling off a fight.

The elder wolves were the best solution to resolve issues like this but it seemed they would take Luke's side, so Isaac chose to deal with Luke by himself.

" That is what you think, I will come for my right very soon." Without waiting for anybody to say anything, he walked out of the meeting hall.

Talking too much would have been a waste of time especially when Luke didn't seem to be tired out from talking.

The attention was now drawn to Luke, Isaac had just revealed to them that Luke was not meant to be the Alpha and had refused to give up the Alpha title. That was enough to put Luke to shame. He would surely be mentioned whenever two wolves would be seen together since the news would spread like wildfire.

But just like Isaac, none of them dared to say anything to him. With anger, he also stomped out of the hall, his next destination was his son's house where he could pour out his anger.

Meanwhile, the moment Isaac got home, he could hear his new mate and his beta talk about a female. It seemed that they had gotten along so well in just a day and for an unknown reason, it got him angry.

" She is one of Isaac's harems but doesn't worry she won't bother you." Isaac heard Xavier's voice. What female were they talking about, did Phoenix go against his order by coming close to Lilith?

" Hmm, ok if you say so." This time, it was Lilith that responded.

Isaac startled them by stomping to the living room where they were and he didn't hide the fact that he was annoyed.

He went straight for Lilith and held her hand. " It's time to mark each other." He blurted out for Lilith to shrink in fear.
