Chapter 8: I Just Want to Get What I Want

"Archie, I don't know what you like to eat, so I've prepared the dishes according to Edwin's taste," Cecily said.

Cecily believed that if Edwin liked certain foods, Archie probably did too. If it weren't for Pamela being the one Edwin liked, and later even marrying her, she would have suspected they were a couple.

Archie didn't know what was going on in her mind, so he just smiled and said, "That's great."

After they finished eating, Archie mentioned that Cecily should get more rest, so he went upstairs to sleep.

Edwin and Archie were in the yard. Edwin suddenly asked, "How's her health?"

"Are you talking about Cecily or Pamela?" Archie responded.

Seeing Edwin's stern expression, Archie continued, "Cecily has stopped taking that medicine. With another month or two of recovery, she should be fine. But even if she gets pregnant, I can't guarantee the safety and health of both mother and child. She was given the strongest medication back then."
