Two CEOs got into an arranged marriage for convenience. One is a strong-willed woman who doesn’t believe in love. The other is a cold-hearted man who was rejected by his unrequited love. Adira Hale and Chadwick McElroy appear to be perfect in front of many. They are rich, influential, leaders, and good-looking. People said that they are the best couple, a match made by heaven. But the truth is far from the imaginary perfect romance that one could think of. Adira only married Chadwick in order to get pregnant. All she desires is his body and not his affection. Meanwhile, Chadwick despises the idea of sharing the bed with his wife just because he’s still in love with another woman. Is there a chance for love to bloom between temptation and betrayal?

Chapter 1
It’s been three days since Adira married Chadwick McElroy. After three nights of spending her time in Japan for their honeymoon, Adira went back home to her new house as Mrs. McElroy. “Ahhhh. My body feels so tired,” she moaned, sitting on the edge of the bed. And when she lay down, her long and curly red hair scattered. Wearing her sexy undergarments underneath the red robe, Adira’s olive eyes glued to the ceiling. There is nothing much to see there. She’s just trying to ease the fatigue of long hours traveling back to the country. “I still couldn’t believe that I am a married woman now,” she murmured, blinking her eyes, and her long lashes fluttered like butterfly wings. It’s not been that long since Adira agreed on marrying the CEO of the Wine&Vibe company. And now, she’s inside the room and thinking about how fun life can be. She can still remember drinking alone in her condo unit while singing a pop song entitled: “I Don’t Need a Man.” But here she is, trying to familiarize h

Chapter 2
Isa Daley. She has been Chadwick’s female friend since high school. According to what Adira heard, Isa and Chadwick did not date each other. However, students in their batch said that Chadwick had been in love with Isa for a long time. ‘In short, he’s a pathetic loser,’ Adira concluded while nodding her head. With crossed arms, she stood outside her husband’s room and listened to Chadwick’s conversation with his first love. [“My wife is pretty? W-Well. I admit that she is indeed pretty.”] A satisfied beam appeared on her luscious lips. She knew that fact very well, but it still felt good to hear it from someone else.[“But in my eyes, she’s not attractive in my eyes,”] added Chadwick. At Chadwick’s remark, the smile on her lips turned crooked. Adira looked at the closed door and snorted. “Huh!”She praised her husband’s fearlessness to escape during their honeymoon, suggesting that they must sleep in separate rooms and saying that his wife is unattractive to another woman. “Your thing is small. Right?” Your thing is small, right?…thing is small, right?…is small, right?…small, right?..right?Adira’s question echoed in the clear and quiet night. It was a starry night sky with a cold wind gushing from the west. Reports told nothing about the possible eruption of any volcanoes in the whole world. Yet, when Chadwick heard Adira’s question about the most precious thing in his body, he felt as if a sharp lightning cracked in the sky and he heard a thunder booming inside his head, molten him in anger. His temper reached its peak, like a volcano that is about to erupt in its enormous rage. “I can handle that, I think,” Adira said, nodding her head while looking at Chadwick’s center. “But how small is it? Can you give me a hint so I can be prepared?” A fresh swell of rage rose in him, and Chadwick gritted his teeth. The fury is twisting his stomach and blurring his ability to think straight. Catching his breath with his wide-opened mouth, he grabbed the

If it is Isa Daley who came to visit, then she is definitely Chadwick’s visitor. Now, Adira contemplated whether she’ll call her husband or not. ‘Is it really necessary to call him when this house is my house too?’ Adira asked herself. Flaunting a grin, Adira decided to greet the guest alone. She held the doorknob, and when the entrance opened, a pair of clear brown eyes shook in front of her. Isa Daley gaped at the woman who opened the door. She blinked her brown eyes, then observed Adira’s sexy lingerie. Isa gawked at Adira’s silky sleeping wear, her bust, her red lips and the alluring emerald eyes. When Adira blinked, her long lashes flickered like red butterfly wings. ‘Chadwick’s wife is so pretty. And she has charismatic look,’ with this in Isa’s mind, she felt anxious. Yet, she suppressed the fear and straightened her posture. Adira stared at the woman whom her husband has feelings for. Isa Daley has an innocent face, big round brown eyes, small think nose, tiny face and ca

Chapter 5
Adira was sitting in front of her office desk while reminiscing the scene unfolded in her new home this early morning: “You have feelings for this lady.” Adira stared down at Isa as she whispered, “Right, Honey?” At Adira’s remark, Chadwick and Isa held their breaths for a moment. They did not expect to hear this answer directly from Adira. As no one from the two could answer her, Adira pulled her hand away from Chadwick’s. Then, she glanced at the woman sitting pathetically on the floor. “Miss Isa. You don’t need to pick those up because I will ask someone else to clean it. After all, YOU ARE MY HUSBAND’S DEAREST GUEST.” Adira smiled at Isa, an eerie and haunting beam, like an image in a broken mirror. Isa felt the chill creeping out on her skin. “And honey,” Adira called the unmovable and stunned Chadwick. She leaned towards him, placing her leg between his thighs before she fixed the collar of his shirt. Chadwick’s eyes dilated in front of the gorgeous woman before him.

Chapter 6
Six months have passed. It’s already half a year since Chadwick and Adira married each other. Since then, Adira only wished one thing from her husband. And that is to convince him to sleep with her and warmth her bed. “Can I sleep inside your room?” “Let’s make out.” “Let’s sleep together.” “Honey, let’s have sex.” Living with Adira for the first month was hell to Chadwick. A hell with no escape. Adira never failed to ask him to have sex every day. EVERY SINGLE DAY. And it became a job to Chadwick to decline her. EVERY SINGLE DAY. Until Chadwick got used to her craziness after months. It became a routine for him to decline her, and it also became a routine for Adira to get rejection. Still, the stubborn lady doesn't know how to give up.Just like tonight, Adira came to visit his room to ask him the same thing again.“Darling,” Adira called, standing near the bed where Chadwick is sitting on. She’s wearing a shiny and thin sleepwear dress that was made from silk. If she stood ne

Chapter 7
Last night’s incident never left Chadwick’s mind. Even when he’s inside his office and working, Adira’s reaction keeps on playing inside his head all over again. When Isa went to their house, crying and sobbing, she hugged Chadwick. Adira was also there at that time, watching the two of them without much expression. He’s in the verge of really believing that Adira doesn’t really care even if he hugs another woman in front of her. Yet of course, he did not do it on purpose. Chadwick doesn’t want to show that to his wife, yet he could not push Isa at that time. Yes. It is his fault. Chadwick blamed himself for being heartless towards his wife. “She does not look like someone who is mad,” he murmured. ‘As if she’s too tired to have time thinking about us,’ he continued internally. In the middle of his thoughts, his secretary called for him. “Sir.” From the ceiling, Chadwick dropped his gaze towards his employee. “What?” “Just to remind you of your schedule for tomorrow, Sir. You’l

Chapter 8
“This is where the kids play,” said miss Marie, the one who is in charge in handling the orphanage. She pointed to the room where the orphans reside now. Despite their situations, the children’s faces are full of smiles and cheers. They just happily play together with kids whom they see as their new family. Adira stood by the door and peeked at the cute kids through the rectangular glass at the upper center of the closed door. She just stayed there, watching the smile on the kids’ faces and how they run so energetically, showing how blissful a youth can be. To show the other room to the McElroy couple, Miss Marie picked up her pace. Every new room in the orphanage was built because of the donation they received from the couple’s companies. So, Miss Marie had to show them every crook and to let them know where their money was spent too. Chadwick followed miss Marie and thought Adira will be on their tails. But on his fourth step, he sensed that his side was empty, which made him st

“That project is indeed good. But it is USELESS right now. If you think that you can solve the problem with that, then you are wrong, miss Dale.”A deafening silence echoed inside the office. Marie didn’t expect Adira to oppose Isa’s idea this much. And so, she was thinking of a way on how to lighten up the mood. Yet before she could, Isa’s voice returned in an unusual cold tone.“Can you tell me where did it went wrong? ADIRA.”Adira. Adira. Her own name rang inside Adira’s ear. Instead of calling her in a more formal way, Isa dared to uttere Adira’s name as if they were close. But since Isa appears like an angel to everyone, while Adira is the wicked villain, no one noticed that Isa just disrespected the most important guest in the orphanage.Nevertheless, this isn’t the first time Adira has experienced such rude behavior. As a female CEO, she was downgraded by her competitors from the other companies. Even so, she remained composed and undefeated, proving that gender doesn’t hind

“Madam, Sir Chadwick is in the hospital. He got into a car accident.” When Adira heard this news about her husband, a swirling panic went like a wave inside her body. Cold sweat formed on her forehead and her limbs, although they are intact, felt like they were about to give in from the shock she received. The inside of her chest seemed to narrow its size, squeezing her heart which are beating frantically, with her losing her breath with every pound. All her thoughts clouded as she picked up her car keys and dashed out of their house. She turned the engine with trembling hands and got the car out of their garage swiftly one backward and one forward. While driving on the road, she passed car by car, never forgetting to press the horn, showing how urgent she was at this moment. Beep! Beep! Beep! Cars move sideward at the loud warning. Beep! Beep! Beep! The loud sounds made her more agitated, and impatient. She glanced now and then at the clock on the car, and back on the road. As
