Chapter 79

Amelia's POV

“Push!,” I heard faintly, the sound echoing in my mind like an unconscious howl. “Come on Amelia.” A strange voice echoed again. It was supposed to be in a tone of motivation, but it didn't feel like it.

Maybe it was, I couldn't tell because I was fighting for my life and that of my children.

I was in the bed, and my body was vibrating in pain.

The world around me seemed to blur into a hazy picture of weird shapes and muffled sounds.

The bright light inside the room and right in front of my eyes, added to my misery. I could feel as drops of sweat ran down my forehead as the pain increased.

I turned my eyes, a desperate attempt to look around to see if there was someone familiar. The faces around me appeared hazy and blurry, I could only see their white dresses as it matched the brightness of the wall. The clinks and clanks of equipment, and doctors talking under their breath hastily, moving around like headless chickens.
