38. Misconception

Preston's reflexes were so good that I had barely glanced at Kai.

“I doubt you forgot how to knock” I heard Kai’s voice.

“Go put on some clothes” Preston scowled, his hand still behind my head preventing me from turning.

The smell of his cologne filled my nose, and I instinctively leaned in, feeling the warmth of his body, I sniffed his shirt and I immediately felt a reverberation underneath his shirt.

I glanced up and saw him smiling down at me, my face heated up and I lowered my head, burying my face in his chest, trying to hide my embarrassment.

I had literally sniffed him loudly, I felt like running out of here, and there was Kai who was naked behind me.

I heard footsteps, and shuffling of clothes from behind me. “You don't need to shield her, it's not like she did not see me last night” he was definitely making everything a lot worse.

“Get dressed, we need to talk,” Preston said.

He was smiling a second ago, and I knew he had returned to his stoic facade.
