Amaija
I sit by the fridge with a pile of food laid out before me. It’s after midnight. Xoi is streaming late, so he’ll probably sleep at his office tonight. I woke up starving; this little one keeps me on my toes. Thankfully, my morning sickness had now passed, but these nighttime hunger surges are in to replace it.
“You’re a greedy one, aren’t you?”I scoop another chunk of ice cream in my mouth, savoring the taste.
“My heart…”I jump at the sound of his voice; he’s talked to me about having these nighttime meals, but he’s not the one carrying his big head baby, and mama gotta eat. I turn my face to the side to hide, then scoop another spoon of ice cream and swallow it. Xoi laughs as he walks up to me.
“Babe, we talked about this; the doctor doesn’t recommend it.” He says.
"Babe, you do want our child to starve, do you? The little one wants ice cream,” I tell him.
“I think mommy is the one that wants ice cream,” he replies.
“And mommy gets what she wants,” I say back. I scoop another spoon of ice cream in my mouth, throw the tub back in the fridge, and then stretch my hands out for him to pick me up. He grins and obliges, scooping me up in his arms. I wrap my hands around his neck and my feet around his torso.
“I thought you were spending the night,” I tell him.
“And stay away from you and our baby? Never.”I smile, nuzzling into his neck. Then jump up suddenly.
“Wait! I left food on the ground.”
He kisses my lips and says. “I’ll get it later because right now I want some you and me time,”
He walks to the room, puts me gently on the bed, and strips away my pajamas. “You’re so beautiful.”
He kisses my stomach before moving his mouth to my lips. He takes off his clothes quickly and throws them to the side. I laugh as he crawls on the bed.
“What did you and my baby do today?”
“Completed some IVR for the game. What about you, how was work?”He slips his shaft. I gasp, wrapping my legs around him as he begins to move slowly. I start grinding my waist to match his rhythm, panting as he fucks me hard and fast. Finally, we’re at the edge. We climax together; he collapses beside me.
“Work was good, but I missed you two,” Xoi says. He pulls me into his arms and kisses my neck.
"I can see that; we missed you two." He slips down to my stomach and kisses it before returning to my side and pulling me into his arms.
"My best girls." He whispers.
"I don't know what we're having yet."
He pulls me tighter and says."I know it's a girl, and she'll be as pretty as you." I smile, my heartwarming as I drift off to sleep, totally at peace and happy with my little growing family.

Two days later
Ding Dong, Ding Dong, Ding Dong
I jump out of bed and run to the door. I peek through the lock and scream when I see who’s standing at the door. I pull it open.
“Zara!”I hug her. Our parents are best friends, so we grew together like sisters. Unfortunately, she lives in Texas, so I don’t get to see her a lot, but we talk on the phone frequently.
“Aren’t you glowing?” she tells me. I roll my eyes as I usher in.
“I think they tell every pregnant woman that so they can feel better about getting fat,” I respond.
"Maybe, but there's a glow."I smile as she hugs me; she pulls away and looks me over.
“Seriously, you look happy,”
“I am. My munchkin is healthy, my baby daddy is hot, and my career is doing well, so I can’t complain,” I say.
“How are you? I haven’t spoken to you in... wow, a month. I feel terrible.”
“I’m doing well, we both have busy lives, and you’re pregnant,” Zara screams and grabs my hand; I grin as we embrace again. “I can’t wait to be an aunt; that baby will be adorable. I rub my stomach and smile.
“Enough about me and the munchkin; what have you been up to?” I ask her.
“Work, work, and more work. Oh, and of course, the divorce has been finalized; I’m looking forward to being young and single.” She’s two years younger than me and got married to her high school sweetheart right out of high school.
“I’m sorry you and Marcus didn’t last,” I say as she follows into the kitchen, grabbing a glass of lemonade for me and a glass of Moscato for her.
"His jealously was getting too hard to handle. It was always, who am I with? Who’s that colleague? Why am I five minutes late getting home from work?” she says. I hand her the glass and sit; she follows.
"He always loved you, maybe more than you did him."
Zara smiles, “I know he does, but it is love that felt like a prison more than a romance. I don’t want a love that’s suffocating."
“I understand. That’s what I love about Xoi; we can be apart and still be together. I trust him, and he trusts me; I don’t need to ask him where he’s going or check his phone.”
“That’s great. I know Xion was worried about his age, and how do I say this, lack of career,” she reveals.
“Your brother too? Ugh, Jaden’s been on me about it. He has a career, and age is just a number; Xoi is very mature, and he’s been nothing short of amazing during this entire process,” I say in Xoi's defense. I know they were never fond of him, but I think they are being a little too harsh.
“You know me. I want you to be happy, so if Xoi makes you happy, then I'll support you two."
"Thanks, that's why you're my favorite." She laughs.
"But seriously, do you see yourself marrying him?" I pause for a second. I’ve never thought about marrying Xoi. I thought of him as my hot young boyfriend, not my future husband, when I met him. I love him, though, so I suppose I would marry him.
“If he asks, I would probably say yes.”She takes a sip of her champagne and eyes me. “Probably?”
“Well, he’s so young,” I reply.
You knew that before you started riding his peen,” I laugh.
“You can say penis, you know. I don’t know how you’re so reserved when your mother is...not,” I tease her.
“I have my father’s personality, thank god. But, did you know she told Marcus to get a life and a real job and stop watching her daughter? Her exact words,” Zara adds.
I snicker. “Aunt Kenya didn’t.”
“Oh yes, she did,” Zara confirms.
“What life is he supposed to have? You are his life,” She sighed. “That was the problem. He’s a struggling author, and I’m a med resident with a sizeable trust fund. He probably believed I would have left him for one of the doctors I worked with. Most men can’t handle it when the woman makes more money.”
"That's why my baby is so special; he doesn't care that I make more."
“I said men, not boys,” Zara retorts back.
“Not you too!”
“I’m joking; I like the little preteen,” she says.
I grab a cushion and smack her with it.
“You’re becoming just as bad as Jaden and Brin.”
“Jaden? How is he?” she asks after hearing my brother’s name.
I roll my eyes; she’s had a crush on him since we were kids. “Not this again.”
“Is he single?” she continues.
"Yes, but you know he sees you as his sister,” I frankly tell her.
“That’s so unfair we aren’t related.”
“Tell him, not me,”
“Maybe I need to show him I’m all grown up.”
“Right, like your striptease two years ago while we were at the cabin and you were still married. If that didn't tell Zayne you were grown, I don't know what will."
"It's wasn't good lightning and was accidental."
"Right," I say and roll my eyes.
"Shut up, and let's go."
“Where are we going?” I ask her, slightly confused.
“I need retail therapy, something sexy. Plus, I need to get you a baby gift.”
“The baby shower is months away,”
“I’ll get you something now and another one when the baby shower comes around.” I was hoping for a quiet day inside, but I wouldn't mind getting a little shopping done with one of my favorite people.
"Come on, let’s go!!"
“Okay, okay, I’m coming,”
An hour later, we are walking through the mall downtown. Zara’s bought a couple of lingerie pieces and a teddy bear for the baby. She’s also purchased a couple of gender-neutral baby clothes that look too cute to pass up. A little exhausted and hungry, we stop at an ice cream stand to get two cones. "So, do you think Jaden will be happy if I showed up in a trench coat and lingerie?” she’s not yet done with her ‘Jaden questions.’ I sigh. “What if you show up and he has someone over?” I ask. She shrugs, “I would just leave.” “Wouldn’t it break your heart?” “No, I’m not in love with him... I’m just trying to see what that mouth does,” she replies. I groan. “That is my brother, so I don’t want to know that.” She laughs. “All of y’all are nasty, mom and dad, Brin, you, every single one of y’all.” She is still laughing as something, or someone catches my eyes. I tilt my head to the side, staring at the person who looks a
Amaija “Oni chan!” I whine. It’s been a week since I found out Xoi is a two-timing piece of shit. Since then, Jaden has discovered that the apartment he films in he, well I own it, he bought it with my money, signed my name on the mortgage, and lives there with his girlfriend of 5 years. I was the queen of idiots in this relationship, but the worse part of it is that I miss him. How do I miss someone who lied to me and used me? I feel the tears coming again, but I push them away. He’s not worth my tears. “Oni chan,” I call Jaden again. “Imoto?! Are you okay?” “Yeah, can you pass me the remote?” He frowns but grabs it. “Imoto, I have a lot of work to do,” he tells me. “Oni Chan, l need a hug,”He sighs and sits beside me on the couch, and pulls me into his comforting arms. He pulls away slowly. “We changed the locks on your apartment,”
Amaija I’m lying on the couch in my apartment. It’s been a month since I moved back in, and all I do is go to work, come back and watch movies. My family has been bugging me to go out, but why would I need to? Everything can be delivered nowadays. Well, everything except a man, but I’m off those for the next few years. It’s Saturday, and I’m in my mid-Saturday routine of ice cream and N*****x. I chuckle at a joke on the tv when my doorbell starts ringing. Ugh. I know it’s someone from my annoying family. I know they mean well but trying to drag me out of the house every weekend is not helping. Ding Dong! Ding Dong! I turn up the tv; they will leave eventually. Ding Dong, Ding Dong! My phone starts ringing. I ignore it. It vibrates. It’s a text message from Brin, ugh, not her. Anyone but her, she and Federico just got engaged, and while I am happy for her. I can’t sho
Eriq I sit naked, my balls freezing as this man pays me to pose for him. How are we in the same profession, but he can pay someone while I can barely afford rent? “Higher, lift your leg higher,” Pavlo instructs me. “This is the highest it can go, Pavlo,” I tell him. He scowls, gets up and walks over to me then leans in. “Hey, hey, no touching,” I remind him. He smirks. “Having fantasies about me, Enrique.” “It’s Eriq, asshole; you’re the one paying me to look at my ass,” I glare at him. “True, your body is a work of art. Now spread it wider,” “This doesn’t feel right; I already feel a cold draft on my balls,” I tell him. “And what Magnifique balls they are,” Pavlo says. I want to punch him in his face, but I’m two months behind on rent, my paintings aren’t selling, and I don’t want to ask my parents for money again. So I clench my fist but follow his instructions. He nods, then re
Amaija “Are you sure about this?” Brin asks. I nod as we scan through pages of information about sperm donation. Krystel emailed me a couple of days ago. It’s been two weeks since I’ve decided I wanted to have a baby. So far, I’ve only told Brin. “I’m positive, Brin; stop asking.” She sighs. “And what if you meet Mr. Right, but you’re pregnant by some stranger?” she prompts. “If he’s Mr. Right, he won’t care,” I respond. “What man wouldn’t... Frederico!” Brin calls her fiance, who pops his head out of the kitchen. “Si Belleza (yes beauty)” He comes in and kisses her long, passionate kiss. Why did I even come here? I should have told Zara we could wallow with ice cream and N*****x in our singleness. “Miele (honey), would you care if I was pregnant by another man when you met me?” “Of course not, Belleza. You are my soulmate. Even if you were pregnant, you were mine.” “ahh,” Brin says before they ki
Eriq I grab the painting and head for the door. I have to meet the buyer in ten minutes. I should have already been on my way, but I was up all night completing it, and I overslept. “F**k!” I grab it and dash out of the house as Glen walks up the stairs. “I don’t have time for the shit today, Glen; I told you no.” I walk past him down the stair to my car. I open the door of my beat-up old 98 Charger. It was my dad’s car until he gave it to me when I was sixteen. I was so proud of my car; I drove it everywhere until I got my bike. I still love it to this day, but I miss the rush that comes with riding my bike. I place the painting in the backseat as he walks up to me. “Come on; it’s easy money.” “For you, but I don’t want a bunch of kids running around with my DNA that I don’t know.” Having a kid is something special to me. I can't do it carelessly because I'm low on cash. “The likelihood of someone selecting you is low.
AmaijaOne month ago“We’ve been looking for a month. I don’t know why you’re so picky with picking a donor when you aren’t that picky with who you sleep with.” Brin says. I roll my eyes as we pull into the parking lot of the latest bank.“I am making a human, not just getting myself off. I have to pick the perfect man,” I say.“There is no such thing as the perfect man,” Zara says as we all exit the car.“Trouble in booty call paradise?” I ask, amused since she’s been singing a different tune for the last couple of weeks.“Your brother is an asshole. Can you believe he wants to sleep with other women?”Zar says.“He’s my brother, so yeah, I can believe it. He’s a great son and an even better brother, but a good boyfriend he is not. You knew this when you went in, though.”I say.“I know, but I tho
Eriq I catch the woman as she falls, and we tumble to the floor. She’s on top of me but quickly gets up. Amaija What damages? Are you trying to extort me, you piece of shit? Did you plan this after you found out who my family was? I clench my fist as my anger builds the never of this woman. "Last night, you tried to sexually harass me." "Sexually harass?" She says, furrowing her brows. "Yes, first you called me your baby daddy, then you tried to kiss me. Then you fainted; I could not find anyone who knows you, which means I had to leave work early and let me tell you, something woman, I need all the money I can get." "I…" "I’m not done talking. So after
