Chapter 73: Fragments of Regret

"Mommy, Uncle, look! Caius is having so much fun!" Caius yelled as he bounced on the trampoline.

Caden and Sophia stayed outside, looking at him with smiles on their faces.

The awkward atmosphere still hasn't receded between the two of them.

"What food do you like for lunch?" Caden suddenly asked on the side.

"I'm okay with anything, but Caius on the other hand can be quite picky," Sophia said, waving at her son who looked at their spot.

"You shouldn't spoil him that much Soph, if he grows up to be a spoiled brat it won't be good for you," Caden said. And they exchanged gazes at each other, but Sophia didn't quite react kindly to what he said.

"I know my son well Caden, and I'm not spoiling him, he's just picky because of his allergies, and I don't think you're in the place to say things about how I should raise my son. I've done well for three years of raising him alone, and I don't need you to make snarky comments or anyone else's about my parenting style," Sophia harrumphed, cro
