7. It's too easy for me

"Sorry, sir," squeaked Lily in her hoarse voice.

"This time I forgive." Keenan looked at her sharply. "Listen carefully, Lily. I don't like you calling me in such a high tone. Be obedient if you want me to treat you well."

The woman nodded silently. Then she walked side by side with Keenan back to the car. The place where his son was now.

"Dad, where are we going?" asked Farel when the two were on each side of his left and right.

"You just wait. We'll get there," Keenan replied with his cold and flat face. That made Farel look down and no longer said anything.

"Hey, what did daddy say earlier, hmm? He wants to give you a surprise. So don't disturb him yet," Lily whispered as she rubbed the top of her son's head. "Daddy's like that because he's afraid he'll say something, honey."

"Oh. Yes," Farel said quietly.

Keenan, who had been looking away, glanced at Farel who looked sad. In an instant, he had wrapped his arms around the four-year-old boy's shoulders. Then pulled both corners of his lips briefly.

"Daddy isn't angry. It's just that we were tired because we were busy preparing something." Lily was still trying to comfort her son.

"Yes, Mom. I'm just impatient," said Farel, who was finally able to smile sweetly.

The atmosphere returned to silence when the conversation between the two mothers and sons stopped there. About an hour later, the car driven by the driver stopped at a luxury house. The towering black gate opened automatically when the four-wheeled vehicle began to approach.

Farel suddenly opened his mouth. He was amazed when he saw the front yard full of ornamental plants with green color dominating. Meanwhile, Lily held her breath. Indeed, the magnificent house made her shudder even more.

"The house is nice, Mom. Why are you afraid?" asked Farel when he turned to him. Suddenly the remark made Keenan quickly glance at him too.

"Eh? Yes, dear. I'm just surprised," Lily replied casually.

"Take us straight to the back garden!" ordered Keenan who was immediately agreed by the driver.

Keenan got off first. Followed by Lily and Farel who then followed the swing of the cold man's body towards the garden.

"Happy Birthday, Farel!"

Farel froze when he saw a dozen of his playmates who had emerged from behind their hiding places. The boy blinked slowly as he looked at them all.

"Aren't they your friends?" asked Keenan, who finally raised his voice.

"Yes, Dad," said Farel who then smiled happily. He then chuckled and hugged Keenan awkwardly. "Thank you for the surprise. I like it."

Keenan muttered softly. One hand reached out to rub Farel's back briefly. "Enjoy the party." He was about to sprint away, but Lily quickly grabbed his hand.

"Keenan, aren't you his daddy now?" she murmured in a stifled voice. "So let's get on with the show."

"What do you mean?"

The cake-cutting ceremony was already underway. Lily and Keenan accompanied Farel to celebrate the birthday ceremonially. Then it was on to the meal together. Even the presence of clowns as entertainment added to the festive atmosphere.

Now Lily sat side by side with Keenan. Both of them were watching the dozens of children who were enjoying a small party. However, it was certainly very meaningful for the baby.

"Hmm, how did you bring Farel's friends here?" asked Lily after almost half an hour of no conversation between them. Unfortunately. Keenan didn't want to answer at all. So the mother of one again silenced her lips.

Five minutes later, he turned to Lily with his usual flat gaze. "It's too easy for me to do all that. I can do anything."

Of course. It was true what Keenan had just said. Although she did not know who her newly married husband was, she understood that Keenan was a powerful man. His face was too lustrous to be considered just an ordinary man.

"Excuse me, ma'am."

"Eh?" Lily smiled awkwardly after hearing the exclamation from the side. How could she not? After five minutes of silence, now someone suddenly came to talk to her.

"Explain the rules in this house. Don't let him make a mistake," said Keenan. Then he got up from his sitting position. Then glanced at Lily. "The party should be over by five in the afternoon."

Keenan walked away, leaving Lily still in place. Her attention was immediately diverted by the middle-aged waitress in front of her.

"Don't be afraid, ma'am. Mr. Keenan will not be angry if you obey."

"I-yeah," Lily replied half-stammering.

"I apologize if I'm being presumptuous. What are you here for, ma'am?" the woman asked with a dubious look. She also did not know why Lily and her son were present in the house.

Lily was confused about what to answer, until when she was about to open her mouth Keenan was suddenly present beside her.

"She's my wife."

"WIFE? WHEN...DID YOU GET MARRIED?"
