Chapter 74 Waking Up To An Empty Bedside.

The sound of quiet and tired snoring filed the rather silent room. Light dimed to perfection and A.C chilling, Ezra silently watched his fiancée sleep, carefully playing with her hair as not to wake her up.

If words could describe the emotions running around in his heart, Ezra would have found it easy to put them into words.

With a sigh, the brunette slid under the duvet, embracing the body of his fiancée and earning a hum from her as he buried his face into the crock of her neck.

"Ezra?" Giselle called out groggily, still overcome by sleep. "You're still up?"

Ezra hummed into her neck in disagreement. "It's just..." the brunette paused on his words, rethinking his choice of words before continuing. "...nothing."

Giselle hummed in understanding, too tired to form actual words.

When Ezra saw that she was falling back asleep, he cradled her more in his arms, pulling her closer and seeking her body's warmth as he spoke. "Don't worry, it'd all be over by tomorrow."
