“Bring the elder in,” Lucas did not hesitate to command the soldier who had just announced to us that a member of the Council of Elders was standing outside and in need for a meeting with us.

Lucas and I stared at each other in confusion when the soldier rushed out of the place.

“I thought they were all dead,” I expressed what he probably already had in mind as well, and he nodded in silent agreement with me.
