They grumbled in excitement and pain at the same time. “Congratulations! You have made it through your senses test with added challenges.” There were howls and cheers being heard throughout the clearing. “Settle down, settle down. Those of you that were hit with wolfsbane or silver, please go to the pack hospital to get tended to. Before then, as promised, Prince Avery, Princess Anna, and myself will show you how it’s done with the same challenges. Beta Jake, Deltas Tatum and Alpheus, and Gammas Gabriel and Riley will also be doing this alongside us.” She boomed.Gregory walked up to her and placed a blindfold on her, Anna, and Avery. “Try to keep up with them, as they are very fast.” Gregory admitted.“Is everyone ready?” Gregory asked.“Ready.” They stated in unison.‘Nancy, can you take over with the challenges with me while they go through the course?’ Gregory asked.‘Of course. Ready when you are.’ She stated firmly. He hummed in acknowledgement. “GO!” He boomed. The trio took of
After making sure that all of their pack members were accounted for and were seen at the Pack hospital for a once over, all of the warriors and the Royal bloodline were in the war room for a debriefing. The war room was designed for delicate matters, such as attacks on the pack, the pending war with Blood Moon, and other issues that may come along. The war room was 6,000 square feet and there were multiple tables placed inside. In the front of the room was a projector, if needed. To the right was a fridge for drinks, to the left was a tactical unit and to the back of the room were two big wooden doors. The room was red with golden trimmings all around and the tables were made of marble. The ceiling was painted with different mosaics and the light came from the wall. The lights were mounted in the walls, so as not to take away from the mosaics on the ceiling. “Jameson, please begin.” Gregory commanded. “Yes, Alpha.” He turned his attention to the rest of the room and began. “We were
Although Brent admitted that Aliyah was the mastermind, he was executed for his hand in things. Aliyah would live with the decisions that she made and would think twice before betraying Golden Crescent again. The remainder of the day was solemn. No one spoke of Brent’s death or of Aliyah’s betrayal. She was escorted to the edge of the border where she would live out her days under patrolling guard. They couldn’t trust her within arm’s reach, so keeping watch on her at all times was the best thing. After silently mourning the loss of a comrade, albeit a traitor, the following day, they trained for hours and relentlessly. The rest of the week went on the same way and before anyone could process, it was time to converge on Blood Moon; the war was basically here, and Denice was out for blood.**** The Day Before the Blood War ****“Have our recon teams come back yet?” Denice asked Jake.“They have just arrived Your Majesty and are waiting in the war room for your instruction.” He replied.
After Denice’s promise to Gregory, she walked away and made her way back on the platform. “Anyone else dare to challenge me?!” She threatened. “We don’t have time to waste and wait around. We converge on Blood Moon tomorrow, and we will get the job done. You answer to me and me alone. Am I understood?” Denice boomed. “Yes, Your Majesty.” They replied in unison and bowed their heads. Jake walked over to her and assessed her body. “Are you okay?” “Fine. Get him to the infirmary. He won’t be walking a while.” She commanded, anger dripping in her every word. She walked away and Avery and Anna had worried looks on their faces. They walked behind her and Gabriel and Riley walked behind them alongside Tatum, Liam, Justin, and Kailo (Kai). After making their way to the Alpha suite, Denice went to her room and took a long, hot shower. Her rage was still bubbling below the surface and at this rate, she wouldn’t get any sleep. After her shower, she stepped out, changed, and made her way to
Denice nodded and shifted back into her human form; her eyes keeping that emerald green. She jumped into the air and used her foot to hit the ground. The dirt fell away and the door beneath it cracked under the pressure. ‘Allow me, your Majesty.’ Gabriel told her.He punched it and it gave some more. Riley then did the same and the two hit simultaneously. After a few hits, the door was broken, and they made their way into the bunker. ‘Keep your formations tight. They’re after me and I don’t think that they know about Avery and Anna’s connection to the Royal bloodline.’ Denice commanded.Slowly, they filed further into the bunker and heard feet shuffling and arguing, so they paused their movements.“What the hell are we going to do?! Our people are being massacred out there.” A woman said with an edge to her tone.“I don’t give a shit! Have you forgotten that we work with the Rogue King now? Those people are disposable. We will kill that hybrid bitch and we will find those two brats an
Hello everyone! A couple of things: We are officially at the end of the flashback, so now you guys know what happened with Blood Moon. The following chapter will conclude the end of the flashback and will resume afterwards. It may be 2 separate chapters to break it off, but I'm unsure yet. Also, I will continue to fill you guys in on the blood left on Denice's hands and the lengths she's had to go to protect her siblings, her pack, and the Royal Bloodline. Her relationships have been rocky and she will accept a mate and the matebond in the chapters to come. My recommendation would be to go back to chapter 46 to recall what happened, or really, where we "paused" the story so you're not confused when we continue there. Garrett and Derreck will be showing up more in the chapters to come as well. I did neglect them for a while, but for a good reason to the storyline moving forward. We will also be focusing on Derreck's little brother and the story will follow him for a while also. Deni
After Denice left Gregory’s room, she went to the Alpha wing of the hospital to get checked out. As soon as she stepped inside the room, Alexander was waiting for her. “I could feel your anger radiating from you before you stepped foot in here. What happened, my love?” Alexander asked her in a gentle tone. Denice pulled her attention to Alexander’s face. His jet-black hair was disheveled over his head and his blue eyes scanned her features carefully. With her back against the wall, she slowly slid down onto the floor and put her head in her hands. “I can’t even begin to explain my hurt to you, dad. Have you seen the Alpha lately?” Denice asked her father. He looked thoughtful for a moment. “Now that you mention it, I haven’t. Where is the old man anyway?” Denice’s anger spiked. “On the other end of the hospital.” She replied flatly. Alexander’s eyes grew wide. “What happened? Is he okay? Should i—” Denice interrupted his rambling with a sigh. “I see.” He walked over to her and s
**** Back to the Present **** The first time, when Denice rejected her mate, Avery didn’t follow behind her because their grandfather said she needed time. Deep within her heart, Denice wanted to be with Jake; they had become really close, and the mate bond only pulled her to want to be with him more. In the time she took over as Alpha, he was her anchor, the piece of her that made everything more still and the part that made sense. After the war, she threw herself into her work and closed off her emotions completely. Ultimately, she was denying Artemis the mate bond and they were going to continue to clash because of it. Avery and Anna were increasingly worried about her and rightfully so. Jake got tired of waiting around and seeing his friends happy to be with their mates; he held out for as long as he could, but in the end, he knew that he had to let go. Denice has become an incredible Alpha, but it came at a very high price; authority and responsibility always does. He also unde
