She wasn't done washing up when I stepped into her bedroom for the umpteenth moment. I found it wary and banged on the bathroom door several times but there was no response. I yelled her name, yet, there wasn't any sound.

Instantly, my body turned cold and I didn't need to be told that Ivy was in trouble. I struggled to open the door. It was futile.

Without thinking, I kicked the door open. As soon as I strolled in, I saw her lying lifeless under the bathtub.

My steps halted and I took a step back out of shock. It took me a bit before I could finally regain my senses.

"Ivy!" I weakly called, rushed to where she was lying, and took her out of the bathtub.

Her skin had turned pale and whitish and her body had become cold. My heart tightened at the possibility that I might lose her. I rushed downstairs, hopped into the car, and drove off like a crazy man.

I didn't obey any of the traffic rules and I don't mind paying a huge sum for the penalty. The only thing I couldn'
