I was in utter disbelief when I saw her, looking more elegant than before. Her hairs grow long but the dominance surrounding her never faded.

“You… are alive?” I asked vaguely.

Clinging onto Darius’s arms, blinking in confusion at her while she merely smirked at my reaction.

Nodding her heels clicked against the floor, approaching us gradually while turning her glance to King Hadrian.

“I don't understand… how..?” I asked, swallowing hard, turning to Darius and back to her.

“I couldn’t understand, they told me you had died, I was accused of it then how..?” I asked, narrowing my eyes with bewilderment.

But displeased with my reaction, King Hadrian turned to me, frowning at me.

“Are you deaf, Athena? I just told you she helped me in assassination.” He mocked, reminding me.

But I was too lost in Darius’s words and my realizations that I failed to grasp the depth of his words. Janine was alive all along.
