He was surprised at my words but he did a good job in showing that it affected him but regardless of his feelings, if I was going to marry him then it had to be a private affair.

He leaned back in his chair, considering my words. "I see your point, but keeping our marriage a secret could raise suspicions and lead to unwanted attention."

"I understand your concerns, but I assure you, no suspicions will be raised. Our marriage will remain a private matter between us, known only to those who we deem fit"

He drummed his fingers on the desk, contemplating. "Very well. Our marriage will remain private for the time being. But if circumstances change,we may need to revisit the matter.”

I nodded in agreement. "Thank you. I appreciate your understanding."

He gave a curt nod in return. "Of course, I’m ready to do anything to protect my son”
