Chapter 22: You are late

“Next time, make sure to teach them well. It seems like they have a problem listening to your instructions,” Isabella points out as she takes her leave, walking past Selene.

“And you know she didn't do it, right? It was your maid's fault." Selene rambled on in anger.

“You should release her for me. She is my maid.”

Isabella halted in her steps before letting out a cold laugh, but Selene chose not to be intimidated by the Queen. If there is one thing Selene hates, it's injustice. She has always vowed to protect the weak ones if she is in a position higher than them.

Selene knew she couldn't just sit right to see the breathing maid beside her a few minutes ago getting killed; she couldn't just be dead like that.

“Are you saying you are going to defy my orders?” Isabella asked, “Your maid poured hot tea on my body, and you admit to not teaching them well. I only planned to teach them well.

“You should have mercy on her and release her, my queen. I will deal with her myself.” Selen
